Finally heard today that i got "accepted" by my first choice of hospital! Yay! It is blimmin' miles away (a good 1hour- 1.5 hours away), but has a really good reputation so worth the trip. I have my first midwife appointment on 2nd June, which i reckon i will be at 10 weeks for, and my scan on the 17th, so about 12 weeks, which is sooner than i expected. Also got my follow up midwife date in October as well! Very organised...
Seems a long way between 2nd June and 12th October though for appointments?

This pregnancy malarky is not good for someone as impatient as me! I feel like there is a LOT of waiting and nothing very much happening (apart of course from growing a human being inside my belly)!! Waiting for the day to end so I can go home and get in bed, waiting for MS to do one, waiting for the scan, waiting to tell people, waiting for my bump to grow, wait wait wait!!!

I'm also waiting for this bout of man flu to go away... Apparently all I can take is paracetamol which is not going to do anything.

OH is being an absolute STAR :) I've had breakfast in bed for weeks now and he does all the cooking and kitchen 'stuff' because I can't quite face being anywhere near food. He is planning to go and see a friend in New Zealand this weekend but worried about leaving me... I've told him he should just go because quite frankly I'm not exactly a barrel of laughs and quite fancy sitting on the sofa watching carp telly for a couple of days! Saying that... Who will bring me breakkie in bed if he goes away????

Hope you're all doing ok - I see some of the spotting has stopped, which is good news! Yay!

The only thing you will be doing when you get in is putting your feet up!

Housework can wait. It'll never be spotless with a baby/child in the house, you might as well start adjusting now :p

Hi girls. Haven't been able to come on here for a few days, just been feeling so terrible. Have either spent my time in bed or on the sofa since last Friday. Physically can't do anything. Thought I was getting a little better on Monday but seemed to go back a step yesterday. Was signed off work this week by Dr but can't see me getting any better by next week at this rate. Not managing to eat or drink much (my whole life I have been someone who barely drinks as it is so finding this very hard!)

I.feel faint, heartbeat racing, dizzy etc....I'm not feeling so sick atm though. I'm going to try my hardest to have more fluids today and that should help. :o

for the drinking havd to tried drinking through a straw? it seemed to help me with the liquids. Also ice and lollies saw me through the rough patch! hope it improves soon. are you actually being sick? Have you tried any anti sickness tablets? Hope the doc signs you off and you feel better soon

My OH was winding me up that Squeak would be twins. This time it better not be either. I am struggling to fit us in this house as it is, without six children in it
