  • From last period lol I suspect the scan will show different.

  • For gods sake will someone tell me to stop flipping eating. So far today:

Then joined the ADSA club and got a free huggies box from instore. 27 newborn nappies, a pack of wipes and a hat plus some £2 off vouchers. At the moment thier newborn box is reduced to £3 from £5 and i printed 2 coupons so got 2 boxes for free and £4 off my shopping! Could have got another box for free. Going to get 2 more boxes with the £2 coupons! (plus 2 cash!) then i will get 2 more £2 off vouchers.... i wonder how many newborn nappies i need?

I got that voucher too but everytime I go in they are sold out of those nappies and I visit a HUGE store, it's annoying me!

Anyway.... Thanks again for everyone's support, it's nice to hear peoples experiences. I am really scared about child birth. I am a strict vegetarian and try to go without drugs when ever possible so I am hoping for a pain relief free birth but I think I am too much of a wimp to manage it. My partner thinks I will be fine but I'm incredibly scared about it.

Also I should mention, I am a student in my 3rd year which is a placement year. I go back to uni in sept (6months pregnant) and will do my first term with the baby due as I leave. I will then do my last term from home by self teaching. I don't have an issue with this as I believe I can do it as I am a very motivated person and my education means a lot to me. My partner is in his last year of uni now and finishes his exams this week. I am worried he is going to struggle to get a job and that things are going to be hard for us. My mum and dad are very welcome for us to come and live back at home but I'm 24 and don't want to loose my independence. It's all the uncertainty and everything that is making me very anxious. Anyone been in a similar position?

It's just nice to be able to talk to people who are pregnant like me, so thank you for reading it means a lot :)

mini oranages ae good for you ! EAT IT!

ccaff- I am also a student i work 16 hours a week and am also studying for a full time degree. I am not sure how to make it through next year! (sept onwards) Well i guess sept- dec will be okay but no idea how i will get on once bump has arrived. I only have to attend uni one day a week... oh i dunno will have to wait and see i guess!
I was 21 when DD1 arrived and was also a little scared! I dont think i could ever move back home with my parents i like my space to much. i found it hard getting my partner to do what i wanted him to do with DD without my parents butting in as well. My mum is terrible with DD now i say no she says yes does my head in!
I guess you will have to see how things go as to whether your other half manages to get a job. fingers crossed he will fine one as soon as he has finished his degree then that will be one less thing for you to worry about.

As for labour (been there and done it once) i am sure there will be loads of people who can share there experinaces but i stayed at home as long as possible when DD was on her way then went in when the pain was to much to be told her head was crowning! no pain relief for me. although all labours are different so i might not be so lucky this time. my advice would be to listen to your body, try and stay mobile. do you do yoga or anything? that is ment to really help breathing and flexiblity.

Thanks Jenjade :) It's great to hear you coped without pain relief, I've watched one born every minute and it doesn't fill me with much hope my partner said that they probably only show the interesting ones otherwise it would be boring but I get the feeling he's just trying to make me feel better. I know that he will make an amazing father, I'm very lucky to have him!

My uni course is 16hours a week spread through out the days but I have great lecturers who I know will help me in anyway they can. I am due on Dec 18th and term finished on the 17th, I am worried about going into labour at uni :s I am worried about being on my own with the baby once it is born, hopefully my partner will be working to bring in the money but because we have lived together for 4 years and have been students for most of that time I am worried about feeling lonely due to the amount of time we have spent together over the years. Although I have friends none of them are that close so I am preying that I can find some good mum & baby meetings to speak to like minded people. It's just the fear of the unknown, talking to people who have been there is incredibly helpful to me so thank you :)
