Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

Morning ladies,

Feel like I'm really missing out here I'll be 10 weeks on Wed and I've had no imput from a midwife yet, I don't have an ante natal appointment until the 1st June when I'll be 12 weeks bang on and THEN I'll get my scan date!!! Feelin quite frustrated as I feel like I've missed loads when I read other posts!!!
On the bounty packs when and where would I get them??? Sounds fab my mum had said in my day they used to give out what they called a bounty pack, I had to laugh and say mum, they still do them!!! LOL!!!

hi deborah, I didnt get to see my midwife until ten weeks which i thought was pretty late, but twelve, thats rubbish for you, I would imagine you will have your scan pretty soon after, max of two weeks if you're opting for the nuchal scan hun.

I got a bounty pack from the doctors reception but it didnt have loads in it, just a book telling you about the stages of pregnancy, and what you can and cant eat etc, oh and some other bits which I havent really taken much notice of to be honest. You can send off for other bounty packs which give you free things etc, but im not overly keen about giving my address and email address out and thats what you have to do to get them. But if you go to www.bounty.com you can join there. And unfortunately the midwife appt isnt very exciting, 45 minutes of question asking, height weight and taking blood, thats it, you do get a pregnancy book though, but that pretty much told me what I had already read on the internet anyway.

Does anyone know when I go for my scan later whether I would be able to take my little video camera in, its just that OH has asked me if I can record it as hes not there and its the next best thing..... bit worried about asking them incase they get stroppy x

You get bounty packs from your midwife, the 1st one - in it you have a voucher for the 2nd one.
You get one oncer you've given birth and I think there's one in the middle somewhere!

you can pick the second one up from sainsburys cant you glitter? As long as you fill in the card thing you get in your first pack with your name, email address etc.

Just 3 days till scan getting excited. Do you think we can video with my camera phone the sonographer screen? :O I want a piccy as well.

take a camera and ask. i am going to be to worried about the nuchal scan i didnt really want to have one but partner really does. He is very narrow minded about disabilities etc and i really dont want anything to show up because i really dont think i could face a termination ;-( I am 31 so the risks are low i am just paranoid after hearing his option.

I have eaten a bit and better still i have drunk loads. 3 glasses of juice and a glass of lemonade already ;-) Cooking mash for lunch I think one tablet a day could be enough to enable me to eat!

Is it me or does time just d.r.a.g when you're preggers... I am so desperate to start telling people (and planning our move back to the UK) but feel that if I do that before the 12-week scan (31st May) it will jinx things. I'm also having serious faffing-syndrome - I'm not the best at making decisions and tend to faff a lot anyway, but I'm even worse now... Still haven't ordered those coats for example.

WW - how's the bleed thing going?

Yummymummy - will be interesting to see if us 31-May-scanners are similar in terms of dates!

Other morning-sickers - I'm still feeling the pain... It's gross. I wish I could be like you girls and not eat much, unfortunately, eating seems to be the only thing that makes me feel ok temporarily at least... I've put on so much weight already Am still waiting for the morning I wake up and it's discopeared. Would love to get back in the gym too. Hope you all feel better soon.

Deb - if it makes you feel better, I won't see a midwife for the first time until 16 weeks! I'll also be moving back to the UK from Australia during week 25 ish, so will need to kind of start from scratch then, and really hoping I don't miss out on stuff.

Neas - that's a great idea - might pinch that one from you when it's my turn.

Good luck with your scan missymoo. We will miss you when you move over to the other side. I cant wait to move threads because it should mean the sickness has passed!

Jen - I'm having this too, seems to be standard here in Australia... OH's mum's sister was born with problems (mental redardation though I'm not sure that's the PC term...) so he's a bit para / feeling pre-guilty in case. I'm 31 too. Good luck xx

I am 24 and found out I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago. I am now 9weeks pregnant and terrified, this is my first post to a forum about it just need to talk to other people in my situation. My scan is on the 9th June...feels so far away I am nauseous 24-7 and although I haven't been sick I am really struggling to eat properly.
