hey all,
Can i ask an odd question about money that someone may know the answer to. I have been told i get 6 months maternity on full pay as i have worked for my employer for 6 years now. Can i get working and child tax credits while i am on materity leave? (I have a 9 year old so already qualify now) Does anyone know. I am not worried about money but my mum is not very happy about my news at all and i want to be armed with info so shoot her down. lol I live alone with my daughter and my babies dad wont be living with us as his kids live with him full time.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

ice pops? ice lollies? crunch ice cubes? soup?
Thanks ice pops, ice lollies and ice cubes work well in the day but in the evening it is to cold and they make my belly freeze. I have introduced myself to yogurt and boiled water seem to be going okay ish:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Not entirely sure to be honest, 9 weeks ish is the best I can come up with at the moment! Hoping that the scan will give me more of a definite idea.
I'll keep popping in although will be stupidly busy with school over the next few weeks so will try and keep up with everyone!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
morning all,
I am pleased with my achievements this morning. so far i have eaten a piece of toast and a chocolate biscuit AND drunk a large glass of water ;-)
I have also cleaned out the shed and mowed the lawn... tired now though!
I think I may sit and do some uni work.... maybe
How you all feeling?:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I've done absolutely nothing. It took all my effort to have a bath this morning, then DH wanted to go to a local garden centre. After that we popped in briefly to see my mam.
Got home about 1.00pm and was back in bed for 1.30pm. I slept for 2 hours solid. This seems to be my daily routine now, everyday I need to sleep for 2-3 hours.
Other than that I just feel nauseous / hungover, and I look like a mess. I can't be bothered to do anything with my hair so it is just tied back, and my face and chest are covered in spots. And I'm sick of listening to myself moan!!!!
I was so happy when I found out I was pg, and I always thought I would really enjoy it, but I'm just wishing the days away at the mo. Wishing I was 12 weeks and this MS would hopefully go, wishing it was December so it is all over and done with. As you can tell I'm not in the best of fettles today0 -
Hello
I am counting down to when we can tell everyone about this pregnancy, it's much harder this time around. I don't feel like i've got many people to talk to or confide in at the moment. Apart from still being very tired, I don't 'feel' pregnant and i don't know whether to be worried or not. My dodgy tummy seems to have settle down now, and haven't had any sickness yet (i'm 8 weeks 3). I just feel tired and achy, and have gone off tea/coffee and feel more sensitive then usual. I'm also feeling 'fat' and frumpy, i feel as if i need to keep covering up/hiding belly till 12 weeks when we get a scan and can tell people.
Moaning over with....lol.

Evening everyone,
We need some help. I slept with my wife after her period finished (apparently women are most fertile then) - anyways due to personal issues she took the morning after pill.
her period has not arrived and she/we have noticed an extra layer of fat on her stomach recently. its pretty firm ....obviously she will do a test shortly but just wondering if this is a classic sign of pregnancy ??
The morning after pill can delay the next periord sometimes so her periord may just be late. A test is the easiest way to find out.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

JenJade I could have written that post myself. I had the best pregnancy in the world with my daughter who's now 5. I was actually very smug when I first got pregnant again because I was thinking how it seemed to be exactly the same and that I was going to sail through this one......
How wrong can you be - have had MS since week 6 and I am just so tired. I work full time at my daughter's school and have to be at my desk for 8:30. I don't know how I've managed to keep it a secret because I have to stop to be sick every day on the way to work and I look absolutely dreadful.
Today it seems even worse. I was up at 5:30 with sickness and I ended up lying on the sofa until 1 trying to keep the nausea at bay. If it's like this tomorrow I won't be able to go to work (which is tricky as I have to take dd to school...). I'm actually dreading it as I'm still queasy now - I'm only just 9 weeks - don't think I can cope with another 3 weeks + of this. Getting quite tearful as I'm just so tired - not helped by the fact I can't face eating
Once I've put dd to bed I nearly always slouch to bed myself - about 8 o'clock. From what I can gather though (from reading these posts) it will get better soon so fingers crossed.
I know it sounds really bad but it's quite comforting reading those posts and finding that other mums to be feel as yukky as me...;)0
