I don't know whether it's because of all the junk food and crap I've been eating, but I'm definitely 'rounder' than I was before! It doesn't feel squishy either, but like a layer of squishiness on top of solid muscle. I normally wear tops that are quite baggy over the tummy, and my work top is huge and covers well too but tonight at work I changed into a T-shirt without really thinking and noticed one of my friends was looking at my tummy a bit weirdly because it was quite pronounced. Either that or she thinks I've been turning into a bit of a fatty recently! :rotfl:

I was coming on anyway to have a whinge about my day, been up since 8 for a job interview and been on my feet since then, had to go to work until 8 this evening, then had to sit in the freezing train station for about an hour to come home, only just managed to get in and get my feet up in the last 5 mins and am absolutely shattered. Realised OH is working late too so don't even have him to whinge at, but at least the cat came over demanding cuddles as soon as I stepped through the door so that made me feel a little better  Think I'll be able to keep my eyes open long enough to have my tea, then will be asleep on the sofa by the time OH gets back!
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

    Hi everyone,

    Hope you are all well?

I'm joining from the TTC thread if that's ok, got my BFP today :D According to first date of my last AF I'm now 5 weeks today!

This is #1 so only got a rough idea of what to expect over the next few weeks and months but I can't wait :D

Can anyone recommend a decent pregnancy book to read?

Hi! Nice to see you over here so quickly with a BFP! I thought the other day on the TTC, that it sounded like you were, but didnt like to say in case i jinxed you!

I would VERY much recommend this book:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/What-Expect-When-Youre-Expecting/dp/1847373755/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305966389&sr=8-1

It had everything i wanted to know when i first got my BFP and alot of stuff i didnt know i needed to know!

I also ordered this one for my OH at the same time so he felt more involved and knew what to do to help me:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0091929792/ref=oss_product

He says it was helpful to have a heads up on what to expect from a pregnant wife!

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you so much :D

I just won the 'What to Expect' book on eBay for £4.49 and got the 'Expectant Dad's' one from Green Metropolis for 75p, as I already had £3 in my account from selling a book the other week :D :money:

Can't decide if I've been feeling nauseous today or if it's just been in my head... :rotfl:

Same here - though it's the nausea rather than the tiredness which is getting me down. I've got man-flu too which isn't helping. I've got a fuzzy head from laying down too much, yet I got hot and puffed out when I do anything standing up... Still waiting for that "blooming/radiant" phase to kick in though with my icky tummy, bad skin, crusty nose and lack of enthusiasm for ANYTHING, that feels a long way off....

Chin up chuck, love BM :) xx

(PS. 11 weeks tomorrow, 9 days til 12 week scan!)

I'm living in hope that I am going to get to 12 weeks and feel miraculously better. Fingers crossed for next Sunday!! I'll be very disappointed if I still feel carp

Yesterday I went food shopping and was so tired afterwards that I spent most of the afternoon snoozing on the sofa, then most of the evening slobbing on the sofa. I slept from 10pm to 8am this morning, which is becoming something of a habit. When I go back to work I'm going to have to go to bed at 7 or 8pm just so I get up and ready in time!
