missymoo...11 weeks is in the literature I've received and what DirectGov says. I'm being really careful because I think my boss and I are going to play a bit fast and loose with the rules ;)

((hugs)) Claire. I think we all have bleah days. A couple of times at work, I nearly fell asleep playing with the girls. Mostly tear free here, but occasional weepiness. keely...are you able to take a short nap when your other half comes home. Or sleep when your son sleeps? I'm slightly better, but was so tired (up late doing some work tonight though) for a while. Naps were vital.

pigpen..where do your 5 year olds legs go in a rear-facing seat? :p Britax makes some fantastic 5-point ones that are rated tops for safety. One of my acquaintances really got into carseat legislation, safety, etc. (in America) after her 3 year old was thrown from a booster and killed when the seat belt failed. I think there's some more info on her website. Link here: http://www.vimeo.com/2994502 (note, the video is *really* sad, so bewarned)

Hey, my son doesn't really have naps anymore-if he does he then doesn't go to sleep till very late at night. I have asked him to come and have a lie down with mommy, but he says no then runs off lol. I obviously can't leave him unattended if i went for a nap. I've been fighting the urge to sleep, and ending up nearly asleep in the bath once he's in bed on the evening.

I'm struggling in general this week as my son has been playing me up, probably can sense i am tired and is pushing me to my limits!

I think i might have to confide in my sister, and see if she could have him for me for an hour so i can have a power nap sometime. I am still nervous of telling people untill 12 weeks/had scan :o

Down the front of the seat like they do any oher car seat.. but it is more likely she will put them up the back of the chair o sit corss legged like the others do in the car. There is room for legs to fit between the back of the chair and the front of the car seat though.

Seat belts are not secure for small children anyway.. the law says 135cm for use of seat belt alone but it is not safe on its own until 150cm so while the law says one thing the recommendations say another!

I've had to come home ill from work. I've got bad nausea and feel light headed and weak. DH has phoned the midwife to get the results from my blood tests on Wednesday, but the aren't back yet :(

I think I'm probably anaemic as I have had it quite regularly and often feel tired, light headed and cold, which is exactly how I've felt the past few days.

Other than that I've not got much to report, going to snuggle on sofa and watch a film me thinks.

Hope everyone is having a happy Friday.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly WW. At least you're at home now where you can rest. Hopefully some iron will sort you out!! Take care of yourself!!!

Well I'm off for 18 days after today. Will be a mixture of chores and resting me thinks. Hope everyone has a nice weekend

Ohh I have just had 10 days off and been back at work this week but could do with the 18 days off now! Last week was fine but since yesterday afternoon been feeling sick, dizzy and cold. Saw the doctor for the 1st appointment yesterday bu that was before I felt like this - typical !

I think I get an appointment to see the midwife at around 8-10 weeks which is 2 weeks away from now. Went shopping this morning and felt like I was going to faint, just feel so weak and tired but still eating well. Its hard to keep it secret from people when your feeling like this, im worried it will seem obvious. Maybe its the time to let work know just so they know why im feeling the way I do, thing is at my place if I inform them so many people will find out - they always do!
