Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

I am a bit confused because I'm not sure how many weeks pregnant I am .... bear with me, I'm not usually this daft

My last period was 19 April and my due date is 24 December so I think I am 7 +4 weeks

However when I took the clearblue test on good friday (22 April) it said 1-2 weeks pregnant because it goes from the day of conception . So based on that I'm only 4 weeks pregnant.

I need to know because I can have a doctor's appointment at 8 weeks.

Also when I was pregnant with my first baby (now 5!) I didn't get my first scan until I was 15 weeks pregnant so I want to make sure I get it right this time and have as early a scan as possible (because I'm a worrier)

So do you count from last period or estimated date of conception?.

They count from the first day of your last period. Then once you have a scan they can see better if its the right date etc.

To echo Supermaiden, your GP will ask the first day of your last period. That is what they will use to estimate due date until you have your 12 week scan.

ahhhh can't help looking at nice baby things to buy on the internet, obviously haven't bought anything yet, but I just love looking! Is anyone else like that?

Hiya. Based on you actually having a period starting on the 19th April, i think your EDD will actually be approx 26th Jan 2012. If your cycle is longer than 28 days, or your luteal phase shorter than 14 days (i.e date between ovulation and first day of period), then the EDD will change a bit.
My last period was 19th March, but conceived 7th April with a 30 day cycle and an 11 day LP, which gives me an EDD of 30th Dec, so I'm 6 weeks- about a month ahead of you.

i am obsessed!! i am always looking at things but not bought anything.

i look at maternity clothes as well but they won't fit me yet

I've looked at twin pushchairs.. and a car seat for Squeak.. I am just not motivated to look at stuff for a baby I know is going to be a girl and not need anything.. sad really I like buying baby bits.

When hbve you ladies been to see midwife/dr for your confirmation/first appointment?

I rang my doctors yesterday and they refused to see me until middle of june saying i didnt need to (am approx 5/6 weeks)

I need daily medication so when i pointed this out they said i can go in tomorrow but just for medication - nothing about pregnancy?

I'm sure i was seen pretty quick last time when i was pregnant with DD
