Hi everyone
hope all is okay. Stupid first time question. How do you work out how far "gone" you are. My tracker states 5 + 2 weeks (from last period) and 3 weeks (feteus age). Which one do you go by?

So far I've been pretty good on all parts, no actual sickness (just a constant nauseous feeling), no bursting into tears, nothing. Then yesterday it all seemed to come out at onceFirstly I collapsed in Sainsburys which was rather embarassing, then I came home to find the cat had done a poo, got a smell of it and was sick everywhere
Then to top it all off, my dad called me in the evening and was shouting at me which upset me, so I started crying but once I'd started I couldn't stop for hours, about how I was useless and couldn't do anything right etc
I'm definitely not normally that sensitive so even I was a bit shocked at myself! Plus I'm so demotivated , I'm off work for the week and was planning on getting so much done but have done nothing but sit on the sofa with a quilt and the laptop, even nipping up the the loo or popping round the shop seems to be such a big effort and I end up knackered. I'm definitely not at the stage where I want to start shopping for baby things either
If you couldn't tell, I'm on a bit of a downer!:eek::rotfl:D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -

Doctor's use the date of your last period to date the pregnancy. It may alter at the 12 week scan but usually not by too much.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
claire bear hun, poor you, sounds like you have had a right day of it, hugs, you sound just like me, everyone is annoying me or upsetting me, and I spend every spare moment lounging on the sofa with my laptop, but I can always browse for baby things!
does anyone know anything about maternity pay. i think I read that you can start your maternity leave up to 11 weeks before your due date, is this right does anyone know?0 -
Hello, just nipping in to ask a quick question! I am 7 weeks pregnant, and was wondering if having a dodgy stomach is like having morning sickness. Each morning I have loose stools (but not the runs)-i feel sicky and then my tummy rumbles and i have to go eat my breakfast. Then each evening pretty much the same, have bit of a dodgy tummy then its all rumbly and gasy. I hope this makes sense! In my last pregnancy i felt sick a lot, but wasn't sick. It all seems different this time around. Only similarity is i am so exhausted, it's unbelievable. By mid afternoon i need to sleep (but can't because of my son!).

I rang my doctors yesterday and they refused to see me until middle of june saying i didnt need to (am approx 5/6 weeks)
I need daily medication so when i pointed this out they said i can go in tomorrow but just for medication - nothing about pregnancy?
I'm sure i was seen pretty quick last time when i was pregnant with DD
I am on medication for my bp, and went to see my gp literally two days after i did my pregnancy test. She was very interested in talking about my pregnancy, and passed my details onto the midwife (although i know i'll be consultant lead again and will get extra scans etc again).
So if you're on meds-make sure you get seen asap. I had to have my meds swapped straight away (they are a safer type now for the baby).

You should be able to find everything you need here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/WorkAndFamilies/Pregnancyandmaternityrights/DG_10039631 - im pretty sure you can start maternity leave up after 25 weeks but obviously that would decrease the time you have off when baby arrives.
The pay may depend on your company's policy as some offer enhanced maternity pay rather than just statutory.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I'm feeling like that too since last night. Fine after I ate dinner then finished work at midnight and was on the loo for quite a while (not the runs like you said) same again today. Not sure if it's pregnancy related though :rotfl:0
