just thought I'd ask how things are going with work?
I spoke to 1 boss on Wednesday night with the kids tired and ratty and hungry (nice) - not quite sure what she's thinking as to whether they'll have me back...
Seeing the other boss for a drink after work in town on Tuesday night....
I'm so stressing.
If not I'll be job hunting to take my baby with me!0 -

@glittter...I just told the families this week, at different times. Mom #1, who knows much of my struggles, was very happy, there were lots of hugs and a few tears. The family housekeeper who is a friend as well, was there too. I was just past 12 weeks (scan says 13?) and the scan was really positive so I felt "safe" telling people.
Are *you* wanting to go back to this job particularly? If you're attached to these kids, then great, but I don't think finding a nanny job where you can bring your munchkin would be too hard at all. Lots of mommies around here even prefer that, as then their kiddo has a playmate. Is job #2 a nanny job too?
Welcome to other Jen. A Christmas baby would be neat, yeah? Best present you could get!Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0 -
I officially told my work on wednesday when I was 11 weeks and most of the staff know now. Had 1st booking in appointment with midwife on friday and it was long, was used as a pincushion to try to get blood.
I have got my scan date of 18th May (will be 13 weeks) and got a consultant appointment at 16 weeks.
Was told that I cannot take anything for hayfever by the midwife. Does anyone know anything you can take to help. Since the weather has changed the last 2 days so its better but deading when the summer really arrives. I was told to eat honey but I hate honey - anyone heard this.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

is anyone else having a rough time with their second pregnancy? I swear i dont remember it being this bad (and i had a rough time last time!) I'm 6 weeks today, having been sick but heaving. If i eat something (anything!) I feel terribly bloated, cant get comfy, am snappy, upset and generally just blurgh - i dont remember getting like this at all last time! I went to the doctors yesterday - they said they wasnt going to check my thyroid levels because the midwife will take my blood at end of month so whilst my "flump" is getting all my thyroxine, im getting none which is wearing me down and making me shattered!
EDIT: I told my work last week i was pregnant - but i need to fly to Germany in december (usually) and as im due jan 1st i thought i had better tell them sooner so they could sort things out well in advance. My boss had a laugh and a joke with me, said "huh, i suppose you want time off too then do you??" (am only lady in office, 2 of the men i work with wives are pregnent, they're due Aug and Oct then ob me in Jan lol)0 -

Go to doctors and ask for the nasal spray and eye drops - they dont hurt the baby.
Local honey works but your too late in the season to try this, your meant to eat it through spring to get used to the pollen - it does work
EDIT: it must be local honey so that its local pollen and it can be expensive to buy0 -

I'd like to go back to the jobs I know and parents I know rather than start something new. Although if one of them says no (they are both nanny jobs) then I'll probably look for 1 fulltime job where I can take bubba - that's not THAT easy to find, I've had friends struggle0 -
Hi all hope you do not mind me joining in? I'm a regular MSE user in disguise as I don't want the word out IRL for quite a while yet!! Think I'm about 4.5 weeks ish, not quite sure on the dates as I've had a lot going on in April and didn't pay much attention. While not strictly unplanned this BFP has come about 5 mths ahead of expected schedule!
This will hopefully be baby #3, no 2 is currently 19mths so will have 2 under 3.0 -

Welcome 3! I typed a post earlier, but it seems to have disappeared. Spooky.
Jenjade, cheese is killer for me. I can't stand the smell in the supermarket. Urgh. Lots of ideas here about what might help with the nausea..mints, gingernuts/ginger ale, acupressure bands, etc. These little ginger candies work pretty well for me. If you're taking a prenatal vitamin, sometimes changing when you take it can help too.
Remember though that you *need* rest. I know it's hard when stuff needs to be done. I'm just starting to feel a bit perkier and was a cleaning machine earlier today. Until you feel well, just do the basics, the best you can and ask the man to help.Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0
