I would have told them to bu$$er off to be honest mimi, you dont have to tell them what you want an appt for. When you go in tomorrow tell the dr that you're pregnant at the same time, they'll have to speak to you ahout it then!

When hbve you ladies been to see midwife/dr for your confirmation/first appointment?

I rang my doctors yesterday and they refused to see me until middle of june saying i didnt need to (am approx 5/6 weeks)

I need daily medication so when i pointed this out they said i can go in tomorrow but just for medication - nothing about pregnancy?

I'm sure i was seen pretty quick last time when i was pregnant with DD

I saw my gp at 5w when I found out - then mw at 8w.

Surely they should see you ESP with medication.

Ditto this. If you have concerns, just make an appt. Receptionist doesn't need to know what it's about.

pigpen....you can always buy baby bits for the rest of us, if you need to feed your baby shopping fix. :D

    I thought I may de-lurk again for a little while.......if that's ok?

I had my booking appointment on Tuesday which went well, but I was a little ill after having my bloods taken. The midwife didn't really want to hazard a guess at dates but on my scan request put 10weeks as she thinks that is the most I could be (I'm currently guessing around 8- 9 weeks). I have my scan booked for 19th May. I am very nervous, I am so scared incase anything is wrong but excited that we will get to see our bean.

MS has been on and off. I want to thank the person that mentioned avoiding Philadelphia, I have vomited twice after having Philli on toast. Today has been a good day so far, but last night was a bad night, I couldn't even keep down apple juice. I have found Nutri-grain Elevenses today - I don't know if they have played a part?

I have been glued to baby websites looking at prams and cots ect but don't want to buy anything until I've had a scan and I think I will wait until quite late to buy anything big.
Desperately trying to get debt free!

I would love to but alas I have a baby that doesn't know when to stop growing and is costing a small fortune already, she needs a new car seat at £300 before the baby arrives and I need to save my pennies for the £800 roof fix and the £400 pushchair...

Why so much on a car seat PP, just out of interest? I never really did get a baby shopping fix, just been doing it gradually since 20 week scan x

I want a rearfacing car seat for her until she is at least 5 as it is so much safer. it is worth every penny to preserve her life in the event of an accident.
