  • Hi everyone, can I join? I found out last Friday evening that I was pregnant (bit of a saga - 6 tests I did were positive, but the one the doctor's trainee did was negative, and didn't even offer a retest!). My doctor was off this week, and I have a loop diathermy booked for 4th May, so I've been quite anxious until yesterday, when I had an early scan at St Thomas hospital. Turns out I'm around 5 weeks gone, and they couldn't see the fetal pole, but could see the gestational sac, so I've got another scan on 20th April. I'm ridiculously excited :)

Do you mind if I join you? I am having the strangest day. Have been awake most of the night. Did a pregnancy test at 7am and it was POSITIVE! I cannot believe it. We have been trying for nearly three years and I honestly believed it was never ever going to happen (severe endometriosis). I had major surgery 9 months ago. I feel like I'm dreaming. Poor hubby cried for 2 hours with joy before going off to work in a daze. I'm nearly five weeks so hanging on until I can make it 'official' with the midwife at six weeks. Wow, today is dragging!
