thanks pigpen, I wouldn't usually worry so much, but I'm so early on and my mum had happened to pop round when I had first done it and was panicing about it, and making me worried, which I told her off for as it was most unhelpful, and has obviously fuelled my worry.

Was awake half the night again, has anyone else got insomnia? I didn't even go to bed early, so am knackered today and really don't want to be going to work, only today and tomorrow to get through, but I have a feeling they are going to be 2 very long days!
  • Morning.

    I've had a rubbish nights sleep! :(

every twinge I've been paranoid about and knicker checking! Still in 2 and a bit more hours we'll know. OH is trying to be positive, which I am too- but also half prepared for bad news.

Also wondering if I'm likely to be paid for yesterday & today or whether my bosses will stop me a days wages come payday :( I don't get sick pay as a rule but it does seem a little insensitive given the circumstances and I believe they have to pay you for time off for scans etc - I guess ill wait and find out.

missymoo I always find that I'm so knackered in the evening but when I go up to bed I can't sleep! It makes no sense.

I do have a sleeping question but am not sure if it's been asked yet. Are we ok sleeping on our backs or is on the side the best?

Missy.. hope you are less sore today

Sandy.. you are not meant to sleep on your back later on as it is supposed to restrict blood supply to the placenta, in fact it makes your legs go dead and your hips hurt.. left side is supposed to be best... I, being me, sleep on my face lol :D

i was up from 3.30am to 5.30 am then went and slept on the sofa.

not good at all as i am knackered today.

i have been sleeping on my tummy - am not sure if that is ok but i wake up in that position so i can't really help it.

am sure lying on your back or side is much better

    WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! Scan day!!!!! :j:j:j:j

    I'm not excited....

Good luck Waitingforpost and Loonytunes :D

Will be thinking of you Glitter, hope you get good news - huge hugs xx

I don't think you're supposed to sleep on your back Sandy, I don't anymore after sneezing while lying on my back and getting a bl**dy hernia :p

Go steady Missy! If its still sore and you're worried, nip and get checked but I'm sure is nothing to worry about and just liagments etc stretching.

Awesome rant Pigpen! I agree with you on the house invaders - when the mw told me the booking appointment had to be at home I went into meltdown!

    Is it 2pm yet?

Well back from doctors yesterday we are now at 7+1 weeks. Wife still feelign nauseous all day although is managing to eat preg vits and eat some/drink somethings.

We asked doctor if he would give her something for sickness and said unless she couldnt keep things down he was reluctant to prescribe anything... so we went there for not alot really lol :P. We have initial appointment with midwife tomorrow at 4pm :). Not sure what to expect probably take aload of details from us and arrange our 12 week scan maybe?

Thanks pigpen. I've always slept on my side all huddle up in the foetal position but over the past month or so I seem to sleep better on my back. I need to get out of that habit I suppose.

I tend to sleep better on my back. Previously when pregnant with DD1 I tried to sleep on my side but sometimes I would revert back to on my back.

Its a real struggle to get up in the mornings - luckily only getting up to go to nursery as off work this week and next week as work term-time in a school.

This is my second pregancy and I feel mega bloated in the afternoon and evening when my ordinary clothes feel uncomfortable and I am only just over 7 weeks. Is this normal - I cannot remember!
