DD1 and DS2 were twins.. but I mc'd 1 both times.. TBH.. better twins than.. triplets.. lol.. it has to be easier than a 13 month age gap with one running riot while you try to feed the baby or hobble about on crutches.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
When people say they are 4+2 (or whatever), is this from the last CD1?
My last CD1 was Wednesday 23 Jan, so does this make me 4 + 5?
Also, when does pg stop showing on a pg test? I have a digi left so plan to test mid week to see if it shows 3+ (first one (last Thursday) was 1 - 2).
I've been on Clomid, so increased chance of twins for me .0 -
My midwife told me i should start to feel better after week 12 as the pregnancy hormone starts to decrease in the body so I would assume a test would work up until around then. I could be wrong though.0

I was on clomid too TTC40 and also thought I may have twins but when I had the scan there was only one in there! Although I'd love twins, I know the risks are far higher with twin pregnancies and as I'm already high risk due to diabetes and not exactly young(36) then I'm happy with just the one.
How many clomid's did you have before you got lucky. mine was my third but I was seriously losing faith in the clomid due to a disasterous second month where I bled for a week mid cycle and got a progesterone of only 16. Luckily it was a blip as things turned around the next month!0 -

I could be wrong but I thought the pregnancy hormone that the test detects stayed throughout the pregnancy?0 -

Hope you dont mind me asking Ani but are you type 1? What kind of indulin do you use?
It's just that I've found that I haven't needed to change my insulin dose yet. I'm managing to keep fairly tight control on basal bolus insulin. When I was getting my ratio sorted I had very regular hypos and that was no fun. I put on half a stone while I settled into a regime. Once my ratio was sorted I lost the weight. Might be a case of faffing with your dose a bit til your bm settles?
Hi Maire
Functionally I'm type 1, I'm a rare type called MODY which few people have heard of so I kept getting misdiagnosed when I was younger, but I'm on insulin like a type 1.
I am on novorapid and lantus. I do find it a struggle as my doctor has really tight targets (less than 5 before a meal and less than 7 after) which are pretty near impossible to reach without some hypos. Then again I do struggle to eat the same amount every day as I can be quite erratic with my food which isn't ideal. I'm thinking of asking them if I can go on a pump at some point. Its not a barrel of laughs - last time round I seem to remember it only got worse the furher along I got as I was increasing my dose from around 20 weeks and by the end I was on a great huge whacking dose which means the more you take, the more room for error. Feel free to PM me if you like x0 -

It was cycle 4 of Clomid. I was having a monitoring scan & trigger injection to pinpoint ov too. I was on 50mg - although FS had said that I could try doubling the dose if cycle 4 hadn't worked.
Totally agree re risk. I'm over 40 & overweight so assume I will be high risk too. One healthy one would be perfect.0
