  • You do look like you have quite a pronounced bump Pigpen. Im on my 5 pregnancy (3 live births) and still not showing @ 11wks I can now feel my uterus rising above my pubic bone its just pushing my fatness up :'( lol
Sickness isnt as bad this morning possibly due to the rice crispies rocky road square ive just eaten. Though no doubt it'll be back with vengeance later :(
Looking forward to getting my scan date so i can stop knicker twitching oh how i like that phrase :)
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

    This is my 18th pregnancy.

I love the rice krispies marshmallow squares.. I use them for blood sugar raising between meals for myself and my son with diabetes.. mostly me though.. I do not like the caramel ones and I don't like rocky road so not tried those and the orange make my teeth hurt :p

I'll get my scan date on Tuesday.. and just saying it makes me feel a bit sick haha... it is mostly because it means going to a place I have not been to before and I am not 100% confident I know where it is and I don't want to look a twit going to the wrong place.

  • 18th - you need a medal as big as a dustbin lid. :)
I dont seem to be very good at pregnancy it just seems to make me ill :( labour doesnt phase me but the pregnancy wipes the floor with me.

Ive not been able to eat much the past 4 weeks so am suffering when the hubby cooks it makes me feel sick. Everyone else is well fed im just surviving on brown plain toast and bernard matthews hammichs - random and sound revolting but baby likes them. I can tolerate water and lucozade and the odd hot chocolate but im going stir crazy i just want to be able to eat again. Im hoping things improve in the next few weeks. Especially since ive sacrified coffee (ok so it makes me sick but i gave it up so thats the important thing :P )

Well I am having a lovely 2 days!!

My partner went to work yday at 6-3 brought a friend back and then went to some beer festival. (This was all planned before hand so I did know :o)

During the day/evening my DS was crying constantly which I put down to teething - it was a mardy cry but same time just wouldn't stop.

managed to look 'normal' while his friend was round as no one knows about pregancy but I have just been feeling so sick....

Could not even get up to make myself something to eat 1. Because DS would scream if I left him & 2. sickness was overwhelming me but did manage to grab some dry crackers when I made DS his bottle.

OH came home and I just burst into tears & was majorly depressed not sure if this is pregnacy or because of the day I had & then I got serouisly upset with him (again hormons Idk or maybe I did have a point lol? ) as DS was crying & I was pratically still crying but he needed his nappy changing so I got his pjs then took ds off oh and OH decided to start playing games on his phone so I basicly said he didnt care etc..... :o

Today OH has gone to work 9-5 and my DS is asleep on me again, still crying not eating much of his bottle not sure whats up with him can't put it down to teething now :( but again I have had nothing to eat & DS crys if I try and put him down and I dont have heart to keep moving him while he is ill.

I can see myself pratically sitting here till 5pm now other then to make DS bottles.

And tomorrow we have a house inspection and we are in process of moving so we have stuff everywhere and housework piling up as I have been unable to do anything so basicly were screwed !!!
People don't know what they want until you show them.

Pigpen that does look like a 13 week bump rather than 9 weeks. I'm nearly 9 weeks and have a bump to rival that, but unfortunatley with me it is 99% fat. I looked 5 months pregnant before xmas when I needed to go on a diet - I lost a stone but all seems to have come back on in the past few weeks. I need to stop eating for two now, or else I'll be 16 stone by the time I give birth!

Anyone else find they have gained weight? I think it's because normally I am always on a diet but now I'm not there is no restraint. Also the hospital have put me on a massive dose of insulin to protect the foetus from high blood sugars, (I'm diabetic) and I keep getting crashes (hypos) where I have to eat sugary things to get my levels back up, and this sugar is turning straight to fat. This happened last time and I put on 5 stone but I was less to begin with, I never did get back to my pre pregnancy weight. So I'm going to try and eat healthily, limit snacks to just fruit etc. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean i need to eat like a pig.

Miffy sorry to hear you're not having a good time of it, are things any better today?

Kayalana sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down, I've also been feeling down in this pregnancy which makes me feel guilty like I'm being ungrateful or something cos I should be happy. I am grateful to be pregnant but think the first trimester sucks - you feel rubbish, can't tell anyone, have nothing to show for it and there's the constant threat of m/c. Hopefully we'll soon be gratuating to the second trimester thread, and from last time I do remember the second tri being much better, so rock on 12 weeks!

    Morning all

Managed to survive the night out without too many questions.

My friend believed the bad headache story so much she said I didn't look very well!

I had a small glass of wine & drank about a quarter of it before managing to 'lose' it by leaving it on a table.

Panic this morning though as friend went outside for a cigarette.

I realised last night that the box for the digi test was on top of the rubbish in the bin - where she would be putting fag ends. Wasn't concerned as it was dark.

No so this morning! She absolutely would have seen the test box - I realised, so quickly ran & got the kitchen bin & emptied the contents into the outside bin to cover up the box. Phew!

PP - 18 pregnancies! How many children do you have?

Hugs to everyone who is spotting, hope all stays well.

Hope you dont mind me asking Ani but are you type 1? What kind of indulin do you use?

It's just that I've found that I haven't needed to change my insulin dose yet. I'm managing to keep fairly tight control on basal bolus insulin. When I was getting my ratio sorted I had very regular hypos and that was no fun. I put on half a stone while I settled into a regime. Once my ratio was sorted I lost the weight. Might be a case of faffing with your dose a bit til your bm settles?
  • Morning all! Hope people who have been worried/under the weather are feeling better.
Banging headache and nausea this morning but determined to deal with it as I'm off to a gig later. Not really used to not drinking at gigs - it's something I'll have to get used to! At least it means I can drive there and back though.

Random question, but has anyone else lost weight? I'd lost about half a stone as I was dieting before I found out I was pg, but since then I've lost another few pounds, although my stomach feels like it's getting bigger. Whether it's just because I don't feel like eating as much at the moment or through not drinking I'm not sure.

Attempted a food shop with OH but had to leave him and LO to it as i felt so queasy. Currently sitting in the car. Tesco have B1G2F on huggies wipes atm, £4.98 for 6 packs.

I still have no bump but with pregnancy number 1 didn't show until 7 months.
