When did/will you tell parents? Pigpen - does OH know yet? I hope all is ok.

I'll tell then when I get round to it.. not until after scan though. I'll not be telling my dad, one of my siblings can do that for me.

No OH doesn't know yet.. nor does he even suspect... ignorance is bliss lol

Hope you've calmed down now Nikki! At least he's done a wash - so he's moving in the right direction!

Last time I didn't tell Mum at first. Wanted to wait until we'd had the first scan. However when I was about 8 weeks the hospital tried to contact me by phone to arrange the scan appt. The phone number my GP had passed on was my parents house (my fault I probably hadn't updated my detail when I'd moved out several years previous) Anyway so I had a very anxious mother wanting to know why the hospital wanted me.
This time I checked my contact details with the receptionist when I went to inform doc of pregnancy. And told my mum two days after I found out. She knew I came off the pill at the start of Jan so was asking me every time I saw her if I had AF yet (in her own words:your visitors- cringe- made me feel about 12 lol)
Nobody else knows apart from DH although I'm dying to tell people :rotfl:

PP are you waiting until you're sure the baby has made it through the vulnerable weeks before telling OH? I guess if you think he will react the way you've said that would make sense, but then if anything happened to it you'd have to deal with it on your own - or would you tell him in that scenario too?

AFM I went shopping for a maternity bra today, debenhams have 20% off -and was impressed to find out I'd gone up a whole cup size in 3 weeks! Not that I really needed anything more up there, but the tit fairy seems to have paid me a visit anyway.
  • Hi all i'm around 9 weeks and feeling rubbish cant stop being sick, im tired all the time and have sore achy boobs.
Miscarried last sept so am panicking as baby stopped at 6+2 and didnt miscarry until 10+4.
Waiting for midwife to get in touch.
Really struggling this time round to eat and drink. trying to stick to what i fancy sure im gonna drive OH mad before long with my pickyness :(
Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

I'd tell him if I mc'd.. that wouldn't incur any wrath lol

I just can't be faffed with him behaving like a child so I'm not giving him an excuse.

I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS 39 WEEKS OF HELL TO BE OVER.

Sorry I know thiers not much you guys can do but I needed a rant this is my second pregnacy and if I lost him/her I would be devestated but my symtoms are ridulous.

I had to take paracetmal eariler as I was crying my eyes out with morning sickness and a headache that I have had all day that just got worse n worse I couldnt take it anymore...I hate taking tablets as it is + thiers so much confusion on whether its safe to take them when pregnat but I was just having a total break down!!

So apart from the "morning" sickness, the headaches, the slight heartburn, completly gone off food, and weird taste in my mouth AND trying to look after my 6month DS who is lovely tho ...got to admit good angel baby.

Even at night I am not getting any piece I am sorry if this is TMI but I am having stupid nightmares...last night I was in the Hunger Games and I used a pencil to rip someones heart open!!! !!!!!! IS THAT EVEN ABOUT?!?

I AM NOT EVEN 6 WEEKS PREGNAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok rant over >.< On plus side my headache has gone. :T
People don't know what they want until you show them.
  • I think we'll tell parents after the scan - no use in letting them worry too.

Boobs don't feel bigger just sorer. I've not been visited by An9i's fairy! I'm wondering if I've not noticed much change because I lost two stone last year. In theory my body must be used to expanding and shrinking.

hi luciferswrench, hope everything goes smoothly and this bean is extra sticky

I have already inflated too - and they are so tender! Can't cope with a hug. Will have to dig out maternity sleep bras tomorrow. they are fab! Basically like a crop top. I've already got maternity bras from last time but i would recommend to others perhaps trying soft/ unwired non-maternity bras to save pennies as I felt seriously ripped off when i only got a few weeks wear out of maternity bras before my size changed yet again.

You're fine to take paracetamol while pregnant. For the nausea, make sure you've got some snacks with you at all times. You already have a 6 month old? was your last pregnancy easier? are you on maternity leave?
Feel free to have a moan from time to time- just because we love our babies doesn't mean we have to pretend pregnancy is always lovely. Morning sickness is horrid and for the most part women suffer in silence as pregnancy is still secret

I am feeling quite shocking normal.. no nausea, no boob issues at all, they aren't bigger or sore or anything. I'm no more tired than I have been the last 18 months thanks to my insomniac 17 month old monster.

I have gained 12lb already because I can't stop eating!!!! I have nothing that fits at all and I have about as much patience as a piranha.

In my next life I am going to be a man.
