  • Thanks BB.

Well, my severe bloating seems to hae gone down, and I don't look anything like pregnant. I don't feel anything like pregnant either...please can someone reassure me that this is normal?
I know I've done this before, but can't really remember when I started showing properly.

  • Thanks BB. I'm fed up with being neurotic!

I just have nothing to suggest I am pregnant except a lack of periods for the last 3 months!

    How are you feeling anyway?

  • Welcome and congratulation Lobey!

Hope you're feeling better soon Bella.

We had a private NT scan last night as I was worried that I would miss the deadline and there was no sign of my NHS dating scan. Typically the appt was waiting for me when I got home last night.

My scan was amazing. You could see a little fist and an ear - WOW. DH was stoked too. It turns out I am 11+6 so earlier than I thought and only 1 day past the earliest window of having a NT scan (which is 11+4).

My EDD is now 24th August and I can't wait to see another scan next week on the 14th. :)

Good luck to all those with scans coming up...
  • Great news nutshell :)

I'm good, thanks MV. Apart from the odd tinge of sciatica. And the piles :o See, I'm jealous of your complete lack of symptoms!! :p

MV I am almost 13 weeks and still don't feel pregnant, I have had two scans seen the heartbeat twice and still have to remind myself so I think it's normal. I recall you saying that you didn't have many symptoms with your ds either so for you it prob is normal. With your history it is also normal to worry, big hugs x x x

Re the early scans, I had one at 6 1/2 weeks as I had some spotting. Seen the heartbeat etc (which is meant to be reassuring) but it didn't make the wait for the 12 week scan any less nerve racking.
  • Thread-hopping again, I'm 19 weeks now and have found there are weeks when you just don't feel very pregnant because the bloat has dropped and the nausea is under control etc. - I've just been trying to keep calm and enjoy it as I'm sure we'll all be moaning when our fat feet won't fit in shoes and we're waddling! ;)

As for holidays, we're going to Spain when I'm 28/29 weeks so hoping it won't be too hot and midwife just advised lots of bottled water, avoid ice in restaurants and flight socks.
  • Thanks BB.

Hi MV I'm on the next thread but just wanted to reassure you. I didn't have any sickness or nausea, the only inidication I was pregnant to me was tender boobs and a blocked nose. My tummy has only just popped out in the last 2 weeks (am 20+5 now) and people still wouldn't know i was pregnant if i didn't tell them. So please don't worry. You will feel so much better after your scan then when you get to hear the heartbeat and start feeling little movements you'll feel so much more reassured. Hope this helps :)

MV .. I am looking forward to some of this bloat going I look huge at the moment .. sitting here in my maternity jeans and huge floaty top.. I don't have any symptoms either now the nausea is under control.. other than fighting to stop the toast and jam jumping on the head of the lady in front of me on the bus half an hour ago! I have to pee about 6am too and I am starving all the time. But yes, losing the bloat is perfectly normal.

I'm not even exhausted to the levels I was with the last 2 and I have felt much worse this time too.. I had a couple of icky days with the last 2 this one I have felt pretty gruesome most days.

Oooh Delilah.. I like that name.. *adds to list* (I really want Tallulah Esme.. :p)
