Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

About 6 weeks!!! The bloat is amazing, I kinda look pregnant already (or at least I like to think it doesn't just look like I've put on weight over xmas).
First time around I bought bigger jeans at 7 weeks and wore them to 12 weeks before starting in maternity wear.
I'm six weeks and I'm sure some of my clothes don't fit but my mum says there's no way ill be getting a bump yet! I think it's just bloat like you've said though0 -
I also had my booking appt on the same day as my scan. That was just what got sent out to me, rather than a request on my part.
So did you have to wait until you were 12 weeks for both appointments?? You know it is amazing how differently we are all looked after. I had my booking appointment when I was 8 weeks. I had my bloods taken then as well and then my scan at 12 weeks. I was a nervous wreck in my first trimester (kept thinking that it was something sinister or that I managed to buy a zillion faulty tests!)0 -
Yep! I think it was partly because my incompetent GPs didn't send the referral, so I was about 8 or 9 weeks when I phoned the clinic and had the GP fax the referral. It said in the letter that the booking appointment occurs between 8 and 12 weeks and if you are 11+3 or more you would have the scan at the same appointment (or some such!). Thankfully we got pregnant so ridiculously easily that I've been very un-neurotic!0

Hope everyone is doing well today, hugs to those that need them0

Hi Girls, Im feeling ok today.... not as good as I did yesterday but bad enough that I have stopped panicking that something was wrong
I too have kind of blurted it out to my boss, its kind of easier now that he knows as he was kind of miffed when I said I didnt want to work late one day next week and now he knows I would rather just do my usual hours, he seemed quite positive about it all which I was relieved about. If at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Afternoon girls,
feel like all ive been doing is stuffing my face today, went out this morning and got a bit of a walk done, picked up a couple of pregnancy books for 99p from the works too in their sale so dead chuffed with that.
tomorrow is the day we tell the in laws, not sure how its going to go down, i think they will be happy in the end but not after alot of lectures! not sure really how were going to do it, just sit them down and say outright that we are pregnant or try to bribe them with dinner out first if we can afford it! If anyone else has already spread the news how did you do it? xxStarted comping again....Oct wins already!:£250 philosophy goody bag, £50 itunes voucher, £30 amazon voucher.....why did i ever stop!0 -
Had a bit of a mixed day today! Thought was doing better with morning sickness today but I was fooled and have been ill 3 times since I got to work
Have got a really dull ache in tummy and back today which is making sitting at my desk writing reports hard work, especially as I keep having to get up and walk around... think some of my colleagues are wondering what I'm up to. Fortunately my boss knows I'm pg so don't have to worry too much about it.
jessimacalucy87 - we told our family over the christmas period, it my in-laws we arranged to meet them for lunch and then just waited for a pause in the conversation to tell them. Response wasn't too bad, although my MIL first comment was you must have got a good christmas bonus  When we told my brother and brother-in law we used my morning sickness as we'd been late in meeting them so broke the news when we arrived saying that morning sickness seems not to just be in the mornings! I'm sure you'll find the right way for you :grouphug: hope it goes ok

Aww tink, I hope it goes away soon.
Jessi- both of our mothers were shocked and didn't know what to say at first. They're delighted now though. Good luck!
Did anyone scare themselves watching One Born Every Minute? I'm determined not to be too whinny but DH is having fun taking 'notes' about this for the big day! Lol!0 -
Just wondering if I could pick the brains of those who already have date for their scan booked... do you get given an appointment or is it something you can book yourself?
We're supposed to be going away for a couple of days during my 12th and 13th weeks (booked before we found out i was pregnant) and I was wondering if it would be best to cancel whilst I still have time or whether we might be able to book the scan for when we're at home.

We're 11 weeks gone so far and OH is starting to panic. So I'll be chasing them tomorrow, unless a letter has arrived today.
As for whether to cancel, I think it may depend on why you want the scan. But no harm in giving them a ring considering you've got things booked.
Is it to check everything is OK? Or do you want the screenings?0
