Got my booking in appointment through for Jan 25th and also my 12 week scan date for first week in Feb.

OH already moaning about the fact the scan is on a Monday and it's his ;busiest day of the week' at work. He's going to phone up and try and change the date, despite the fact it says on the letter that as they are so busy appointments can only be changed 'in exceptional circumstances'.

Oh well..if he can't come he can't come..his loss innit!

    Congrats and welcome littleskintdragon :)

I've had a disaster day shopping for bigger clothes/long tops/getting a heads up on maternity wear...despite it being a decent sized town and the fact that two years ago all the shops I tried today had maternity sections....well they don't anymore :(

Mothercare was useless. Nothing in New Look :( But they had a small selection in H&M so I managed to get bump bands which I'm hoping I can use now to cover my safety-pinned trousers! But no smart work trousers :(

Looks like it's going to have to be an ebay/online job to get maternity clothes this time. I looked back at my old bump photos and I'm quite shocked at how awful I look. So want to make a bit of an effort this time with my wardrobe.

I picked up the Emma's Diary goody bag too, which isn't bad. Aldi nappies, small pack of wipes, vanish sample, bio oil sample and "forgot the name" bump cream samples.

  • Thanks gozmodo,

I didnt buy many clothes last time, think i lived in cheapy vests from tesco and two maternity tops. I did go to mothercare to buy some trousers. It was 7 and a half years ago so havent got them anymore. My friend is due in march and has said i can have hers so thats good :) hopefully we have the same sex baby 2!!

Does anyone else feel they know what sex the baby will be? I was convinced last time i was having a girl and was right and this time i think its a boy, but twins!! Dont know why i think its twins, but i'll see on friday :) xx

    Well some littleskintdragon :)

Gizmodo, I had exactly the same experience on Saturday. I wanted a new pair of jeans but NOWHERE has maternity clothes! I wasn't even sure if that's what I wanted yet but no chance of looking as they're all stocked online rather than in store. So just going to buy some bigger sizes and see how long those last.

Got an exam today at work, feeling very nervous, the nausea isn't helping and nor is the fact that I'm unable to tell anyone yet!

No, but we are in disagreement over finding out at the scan and no idea how to resolve it (how can you compromise on such a thing???)

Can't speak about morning sickness etc, but just remember your first priority should be yourself and your baby. You shouldn't feel guilty about that, work will take care of itself! :)
  • Booking in appontment this morning :), think I am 10 weeks + 3 but not sure - scan next week should tell us though I have been feeling rotten for well over 5 weeks now so I might be further on. Curse you Micronor mini-pill...with my other pregnancies I knew exactly when my LMP was but because I was still on pill and bleeding was v erratic I have no idea this time!
