    Hey,
Im also not convinced theres anything in there
I also dont have a scan date and will be 10 weeks at the weekend

I saw the nurse at the doctors today for her to take my bloods and she said that the request for my scan has been sent to the hospital and to just be patient, many scans arnt done until 14 weeks and thats fine (grrr not for me its not!! - Im far too impatient)

Im also sufffering with a cold and feel rather pants. Stupid people at work keep saying just take a cold and flu tablet or drink a lemsip.... and of course I cant, but I dont want to tell them that.

I also never know what I want to eat or drink

14 weeks?! Eeek. I hope not. I've got my heart set on my scan being in the 12th week. Max 3 weeks wait! I didn't get a call today :( despite the promise.

Question for those of you who've done more than one test for reassurance - Are your test lines consistently dark if you do them at the same time (eg first thing in the morning), or have you had the odd faint line?
  • I took one a day for a week and they got darker each day. I think it's the brand though - superdrug were used later on and they're more sensitive.

Stop testing! You're going to worry yourself unnecessarily. Like the people who use the clearblues and never see the 3+ on the indicator yet go on to have a healthy baby :)

    I have a snow day :D

School closed after a a couple of hours :)

    I'm 10 weeks today :D Double digits!

I've cancelled my flu jab though, it was for later this afternoon and it'll be dark (so don't fancy walking) and plus I have DD who would have to come with me and I don't want to risk the drive. Already slid a bit on my journey back from work, it's just not worth it. So rescheduled for next Friday.

I am absolutely shattered, so really looking forward to this weekend to veg out on the sofa :) If DD lets me...

Did any of you lot get a day off work today?

    Congrats on double digits! :D

Nice on the snow day too.

I don't work Friday's thankfully. I live in South London and work in Surrey so on a good weather day the drive can take upwards of 1.5hours, so I dread to think what it would have been like today. The girl I work with emailed me earlier and said that all the London-based staff in our dept had left the office by 11am!

I was meant to be taking DS to Gymboree earlier, but I genuinely have no energy for it today + I didn't fancy taking the car out as our road is pretty covered.

We went for a walk in the snow earlier though which was fun, and we'll go and have a play in the garden when DS wakes up from his nap.

    Yay a post!!!

I want to go out in the snow too. Working myself up to it! Think we'll build a snowman out the front cos I don't want to ruin my beautiful back garden with foot prints!

i have Mondays off. Have you been back part time since DS was born? I went back to my original job initially. It was tough working full time. Now I'm 3.5 days a week. That extra time just means you can get housework and stuff done (well - I did before I got pregnant again).

  • haha I'm the same Giz, don't like mucking up the nice even snow! I get really cross when people walk past our wall and scrape the snow off it!

I work Monday-Wednesday, and started this job in April last year. Originally I was meant to be going back to my old job full time, but they were being so inflexible on hours and it was such a long commute (South London to Windsor) + with full time childcare costs I wasn't actually going to be any better off financially, I took the decision to resign 2 months before I was due to go back.

It was a scary decision as at that point I didn't have anything else to go to, had been in my job for over 7 years and as the higher earner (just) out of OH and I, was really worried about the financial impact.

It was the best thing i could have done though, as a friend of mine who works in the same industry as me got in touch a few months later and we worked out a part time role for me at the place she works :)

So I work 3 days per week now, 8am to 4pm so I can get home in time to pick DS up from nursery, and I get to spend 2 days a week with him too which is perfect.

I don't know about you, but the thought of being a full time SAHM has never appealed to me. I like working too, so this is the best of both worlds.

    I consider myself very lucky.

  • hello all, ok to join you ladies? I just found out yesterday that I'm expecting and need someone other than DH to talk to! We've not been trying very long, I came off the pill in August and have just been NTNP since then...thought it would take us a lot longer to get a BFP as I've been on the pill the best part of 9 years and also only have one ovary.

Going by my dates, I think I am about 5 weeks. Saw the doctor this morning and all she did was give me a prescription for folic acid and make me an appointment with the midwife, who I'm seeing a week on Monday.

This is baby number 1 for us, and we're so excited! Me more than DH at the moment I think, he's suffering from man flu so isn't the most communicative just now!
