Hurrah for finally getting a scan date Giz! Mine is Feb 12th so I won't be too far behind you. It feels like forever away at the moment though.
Congrats on your BFP Welsh

Hi,
Generally lurk rather than posting but I just need some advice (and a hug?)
I'm 10w +2 and everything has been going swimmingly until yesterday when I started producing bloody/pink mucus. Not much - I'd say four bits in 24 hours, each about the size of a fingernail (and definitely mucus rather than blood). EPAU booked me in for an urgent scan on Thursday, on-call doctor was really not much help and just said it could be nothing or it could be miscarriage and to call if I started bleeding more and meanwhile I'm just worrying (and not sleeping much).
It's been maybe 30 hours - if I were going to have a miscarriage would I have started cramping or bleeding more by now? There's no pain at all (part of me feels like a huge faker, the other part won't stop worrying).0 -
(hugs) shewhoguards. I'm sorry I can't offer any advice at all.Baby Giz born 6/2/110

Unfortunately with bleeding it is impossible to know what the cause of it is without a scan.
Very often however it is nothing sinister, and bleeding is really common, so try not to worry (impossible I know)
Also the fact you aren't cramping at all or bleeding lots of fresh coloured rd blood, is a good sign.
Fingers x'd your mind is put at ease on Thursday.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

You know as much as the GP.. he can't see in so you won't know for definite one way or the other until Thursday. There are no hard fast rules about miscarrying.. sometimes you bleed, others you don't, there may or may not be cramping.. it is a matter of waiting and time will tell all
It is natural to be worried but bleeding is most usual at 4, 6 and 10 weeks as these are different stages in placental development. If you have been busy in the bedroom it could just be a bit of cervical erosion as the blood supply is increased down there during pregnancy.
Try to stay busy, it will help the time pass and give you something else to think about... sitting stewing will just make you feel worse and doing nothing has no impact on the outcome.. though I would advise against zorbing, bungee jumps or orienteeringLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Can I join you all as well please?
Just found out yesterday that I am pregnant and that feels extremely weird saying that.
I'm 31 in two weeks and this is my 1st pregnancy.
I came off the pill end of Sept and let my body have 2 natural periods, was over the moon when I had normal periods as got told at 18 that I had PCOS so wasn't sure if everything would work okay.
Then we started trying end of Nov and honestly didn't expect it to happen so quick. I did one test yesterday and 2 this morning, lol.
Will be ringing my Dr's tomorrow. I've been taking folic acid since I came off the pill. I've had a look through some of the thread re this and can confirm that asda at least did when I asked gave it out free at the pharmacy section of the store.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

Big hugs, unfortunately I don't have much advice to offer. I had some
Light spotting around week 5 and had to wait 1.5 weeks to have an early scan so I can understand how worrying it is. As hard as it is try and relax. Thursday is a long time to wait if it is an option you could consider a private scan before that. I know waiting is hard but spotting in pregnancy is common enough so try to relax and rest as much as possible.0 -

And welcome to you too
I feel icky. I'm actually looking forward to work just so it keeps my mind off feeling icky. Then when I'm at work I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can feel sorry for myself on the sofa!
I seem to have gone a bit backwards the last few days. My tastebuds have gone. Not sure if it's a bit of a cold too. I didn't even enjoy my McDonalds cheeseburger today!
Toast or cheese on crackers is the only thing that makes me feel temporarily better now. Had 8 slices of marmite toast already today
I have zero energy. I'm going to a concert next weekend and I think I might fall asleep during it and I'm probably going to have to be one of those annoying people who sits down all the way through.
Whinge over.Baby Giz born 6/2/110
