Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

It doesn't feel real does it? I did 3 internet cheapies and managed to mess up my clearblue digital (didn't leave it in the pot for long enough).

I've told parents, and two friends. I'll be telling my boss when I get my appointment for the scan. Feeling a bit funny about it though as I haven't been in my job for long. Feel a bit guilty.

I have seen my doc got the ball rolling i had to as i was on warfarin which can be so harmful to the baby

I rang the surgery back and they must have been closed for lunch as they answered.

I don't need to see the doc so am in with the midwife on the 14th.

Hope you all have a good new year. I am thinking of believable reasons for not drinking!! :rotfl:

We have my best friend and her fella coming for dinner this evening, and we are going to tell them our news as:
a. I can't be ar5ed trying to come up with ingenious reasons why I'm not drinking
b. OH is doing cocktails and non-alcho ones for me so pretty obvious!
c. I have been feeling quite nauseous today, and if I need to flake out later, I have a perfect excuse!

Hoping 2013 is a happy year all round, and hoping all the ladies from the TTC are here very soon xx

I called the doctors today and have an appointment with the midwife in 3 weeks. Dd another test just to make sure I haven't made the whole thing up! Even though we're early days, I told my Mum and DH told his Mum. Not telling anyone else just yet though.

Evening, doctor was really useful and confirmed the tests weren't lying! He explained what to eat/not eat and said my extreme exhaustion (which I saw him for before knowing) is expected and he can sign me off for a week if returning to commute is a killer later this week.

I've had a three hour nap 3-6pm and then I've slept 9-7 each day since Christmas day... So I think the 6am start, commute then 7pm home might just kill me off.

Good luck to all telling people - we are waiting for the weekend to tell people in person then will tell work when/if we have to

Very exciting! First midwife appointment is on January 25th, I'm taking annual leave off for it, as I don't want to tell work if I dot have to.

We also budgeted today - it's shocking how little we will live on. Does anyone know if everyone gets child benefit at £20.30 per week? Or will they reduce it as we earn too much? (>£30k)

I actually saved about £5k last time so I could take a year maternity...I didn't touch any of it It's amazing how you do adapt.

Isn't it high tax payers that will be losing Child Benefit? So if one person is earning the higher tax rate then neither of you get it.

Happy new year everyone! Hope all your pregnancies are going smoothly.

I've arranged my booking appointment which will be in 3 weeks time. Glad I've got that sorted. Anyone else have a stiff lower back? I'm not sure if this is a symptom or not but seems a big coincidence if it isn't! I'm also soooo thirsty all the time.

Hope everyone had a good night. I feel really nauseous and bloated today - not attractive!! Back to work on Monday and hoping to keep it quiet for a good while yet! Not easy with hundreds of nosey teenagers gawking at you all day!! Fingers crossed though!
