Aww thanks for the advice! I'm going to return the mothercare ones on Saturday and try again, maybe take DH with me for some sane company! I don't get why some of the maternity bras I saw are so awful, surely they realise that we are not 90years old yet!
Another tip - I'm pretty sure you have to book a fitting at M & S these days (I know, I couldn't believe it!) so might be worth ringing up in advance. Somebody suggested to me that it's not worth buying maternity/nursing bras yet as your bra size will most likely change again before you need feeding bras, so just some comfortable non-wired ones should do the trick. Sounds like a good plan to take DH with you to keep you sane!
MV - am lurking and stalking you
Good luck for Friday's scan, will be thinking of you! 0 -

Oooh I had popcorn yesterday at a party. Toffee though so not so good. Pom Bears were amazing today but ate a whole giant pack. Oops. I've put on 2lb already. On the food front - I'm a firm believer that your body tells you what it needs, so don't worry about being healthy. Toast, cheese, eggs, crackers etc are all good. Have you tried popcorn? I really like it and it's an alternative to crisps.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Another tip for bras - get some extenders:

Gizmodo - are you a teacher too?
Hope your scan goes well MV. Will keep my fingers crossed for Friday for you.
Snozberry - last time I was pregnant I found red herring was a life saver but also topshop and asos had loads of lovely things.
I keep having soup - lots and lots of soup!!
I keep eyeing the tassimo machine I got for Xmas and hoping I can find some decaf pods!!0 -

You know, I used to love eating Pom Bears but now I can't. The mere thought of them makes me feel quite ill. It's funny how our bodies change.
When my [STRIKE]morning[/STRIKE] all day sickness was at its worst fab lollies and twisters really helped. Those and ready salted crisps and crackers.0 -

I ate a whole tub of houmous earlier, and really want spicy food too!
Houmous and carrot sticks - yummm! NYE we went for a curry - so I'm with you on that also! Curry has never tasted so good either!
Noangel - I bought a pack of 3 new maternity bras off Ebay - I figured as they were so cheap I could resell them if they weren't any good (but I did go for a fitting in M&S first to check my size - they actually advised me to stick with my cup size - I was convinced I was larger - but to get a larger underboob size instead as maternity bras are stretchier on the cup - and she was right - the same cup size but wider fitted me perfected - even in the Ebay bras!!). I saw some of the bras on offer in M&S and almost wished I wasn't pregnant - goodness they were terrible so Ebay was rather fab for me!
I have had problems with the the high street - our local Debenhams, despite being massive - 4 floors, told me they didn't stock any maternity wear whatsoever:eek:! I am buying from Heavenly Bump and Boden online - although I did buy a pair of jeans in New Look the other day (just don't know how long they will last me as they are already a bit tight!).
I had my emotional clothes outburst at the weekend as I stuffed all the stuff that no longer fitted me in binbags!!! I couldn't believe I was crying at something which actually in the scheme of things, is quite trivial - its funny how things get to you!0 -

OMG!!! You are kidding?! My nearest branches had better not stop stocking them otherwise I really will cry. I can't stand buying clothes online because, despite being slim, I'm a funny size.
I bet that you asked the wrong person.0
