Aww NoAngel have a hug, I suspect it was your hormones, are you needing bigger bras already?

Im sort of going off tea, today it just hasnt tasted right (been on decaf since ttc)

MV - please try to stop stressing so much, Im nervous for you and keeping everything crossed.

Pregnancy is sooo nerve wracking, I just cant seem to stop worrying. Just remember statistically more pregnancies are sucessful than are not.
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again

Yes, I didn't think I'd need new ones yet but my boobs are about a cup size bigger already!! Definitely hormonal, I'll snap out of it soon I hope!

NoAngel - I had a horrible hormonal day like that when I was about 6 weeks pregnant, so just wanted to send hugs! My usually very small boobs had suddenly shot up a cup size and I was really uncomfortable in my normal bras, couldn't find a shop with a fitter available so just bought some from M & S, they didn't fit perfectly at the time but were much better than what I already had. I didn't buy maternity bras, just some 'non-wired t shirt bras' which are really comfortable. I do remember being really upset by it all!!
  • I'm ok Rum..I'm certainly not freaking out as much as I have done in the past.

I think I'm just quietly resigned..hoping to be wrong though and be able to phone OH on Friday after my scan and give him some happy news :o

On food - I'm craving salty stuff at the moment. Not into the idea of cake or choclate at all, which is a shame as our fridge is bulging with it! :rotfl:

I ate a whole tub of houmous earlier, and really want spicy food too!

I found shopping for maternity clothes very upsetting because I like to try before I buy and the offerings on the high street are dire. Red Herring in Debenhams has been a life saver.

In regards to bras, I am wearing sports' bras. I am finding them to be very comfortable and supportive. Sports Direct sell them quite cheaply as well. They aren't the prettiest of things but they are comfy and that is the main thing.

I suppose at least Friday will let me know if this is a viable pregnancy, I have to admit I am not feeling particularly confident, particularly after last year.

Good luck with the scan, so what is it at 7 weeks that they can tell if it's a viable pregnancy?

Caffeine - I'm having a cup of normal tea every morning, but I can only drink it while it's really hot so only get through half of it before my stomach turns. I did have decaff teabags but couldn't stomach them anyway. When my taste for tea comes back I'll be having my two cups a day which is pretty much all I normally have anyway.

Snacks - I'm struggling myself here. Given up on the thought of being healthy. Anything healthy makes me wanna heave. Crisps, cheese on crackers, toast, croissants, boiled eggs and pizza are the only things I can eat at the moment. Don't know what I'm going to do when I go back to work. Might have to live off Cheese on crackers and crisps. Need to think of something I can munch on quickly between lessons too.

I've bought some jelly and ice lolly's to try to see if I can get more fluids into me. Just not drinking enough :(

Got my booking in appointment tomorrow morning.

NoAngel - I got all my bras from M&S last time but I had to make appointments for getting measured which I thought was stupid.

Rumfeeble - I was the same at work last time, ended up telling a few of my closer colleagues at 7 weeks as I just needed some sympathy at work! It is really tough, but hopefully it'll get easier. I'm hoping my worst time has been during the Xmas hols. I'll be 8+4 when I go back to work so maybe not too much longer of the worst...although I read of people getting bad at 10 weeks etc :s

Aww thanks for the advice! I'm going to return the mothercare ones on Saturday and try again, maybe take DH with me for some sane company! I don't get why some of the maternity bras I saw are so awful, surely they realise that we are not 90years old yet!
  • Giz - the letter they gave me when I went for the scan 2 weeks ago just said she wanted to see me again 'to check viability and date the pregnancy'.

I guess it's more about seeing if things have progressed well in the last 2 weeks as they have me down as a 'threatened miscarriage' as I had some early spotting and had 2 CP's in September and October last year.

On the food front - I'm a firm believer that your body tells you what it needs, so don't worry about being healthy. Toast, cheese, eggs, crackers etc are all good. Have you tried popcorn? I really like it and it's an alternative to crisps.

Or how about cutting up some veg sticks and having those with houmous?

  • Noangel - I hate shopping for bra's too. There never seems to be anyone around to measure you up. I saw some comfy looking bra's advertised on tv before Christmas, and from memory you can get them in Boots.

I'll have a Google and see if I can find them.
