  • Same for me nutshell. No nausea of any note. I just have a bit of bloating, but that of course could be down to the huge amounts of food I have been noshing!
We're still up at my inlaws. It's OH's 40th birthday today, so we will be heading home tomorrow.
Looking forward to getting home tbh. 5 days away at parents is quite enough!

  • Hi all

Was hoping I could join in. Stopped taking my pill at the end November - never expecting that I would get pregnant so fast. I have just turned 30 and have a little boy of 6.

I've been really tired for about a week and felt nauseous on Xmas day and Boxing Day (thought I'd been too greedy!!) did a clear blue digital test on Boxing Day night and then another first response yesterday and both were positive. :j:j

Could anyone help me with my dates as I don't know what to put in the due date calculators?

In that case, your LMP was 30th November. So you're 4 weeks today, and due on 6th September 2013.

    Congratulations :)

  • Hi all, longstanding MSE user here with a changed name for reasons that will become obvious.

Well as this username will suggest, I have just had some very unexpected news - it looks like I am a few weeks pregnant. God that seems strange writing that!

A bit about us, I'm 39 (40 in Aug), we've been married for 15 years and have 2 kids age 13 and 2 with 2 miscarriages in between; since having the wee fella I have been taking Micronor mini pill because of my age. My bleeds have been irregular because of mini pill so I didn't really think much of skipping a period. Then I started to feel ill over the last 2 or 3 weeks - i put that down to the fact thatI have been on a diet since Jan and lost 4st but have been enjoying the festivities with lots of rich food and wine. Xmas Eve I was doing last minute shopping and had to leave stuff at the til in Boots cos I thought I was going to be sick. Coupled with sore boobs, nausea and general crabbitness I thought I had better do a test just to put my mind at rest.... the blue test line came up really strongly in about 10 seconds! I went to Dr yesterday who said I was obviously one of the 0.03% of people that can fall pregnanty on the pill - think I should go and buy a bloody lottery ticket.

OH and I are in shock as we thought our baby days were over and I had plans for a lovely 40th birthday party but it now looks like I have a real possibility of being in the maternity ward for my birthday!

So, hope you don't mind me joining in ladies but I think I will be here for a while !
  • Hi in_shock, I'm another regular MSEr using another name for baby-related stuff so understand the need for a 2nd username. Best of luck with everything!

  • Well we are finally home from our grand tour of relatives over Christmas..I am so glad to be home. Have missed my own bed, and am really looking forward to a big slob out this evening with a takeaway.

OH managed to get totally blatted last night with his brother and dad. He was fit for nothing this morning and sick as a dog, so I had to drive us home..nightmare 3 hour journey in the most horrendous weather.

I've let him off though as it was his 40th yesterday, but he knows that he is going to have to reign in the boozing now no2 is on the way as he is rendered completely useless when he has a hangover.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I am 6 weeks tomorrow and have my next scan on Friday, which will be exciting and terrifying at the same time!
