Happy Christmas everyone!! Can I join in? I got my first BFP on Friday and I think I'm about 6 weeks. I'm 30 and we have only been TTC for 2 months. I am dreading making excuses about not drinking tomorrow at my Mum's house.

Course you can Welcome nutshell! How did you deal with the not drinking? Are you not telling your parents yet?

Speaking of which - who has told parents etc?

We told parents straight away and I've told a couple of close friends, but this time want to wait for the scan before announcing to the whole world.

I'm feeling nauseous now most of the time, but not as bad as last time yet. I think I came down with a 48 hour bug in my 7th week _and_ had a UI so I was feeling really rough then.

One of the things making me feel better is coca cola, which isn't great really is it? Trying to limit myself to 2 small glasses a day. I'm not a fan of Lemonade but going to get some to see if it's the fizziness that is making me feel better.

Not telling anyone just yet gizmodo. Me and DH are quite liking having a secret all to ourselves for a bit. I think we managed to get away with it. I had a {ahem} headache all day.

We've told my immediate family and OH's mum and dad, but purely because of the 2 early mc's I had this year. There was no way my sister would buy me not drinking on Xmas Eve/Day, and I just couldn't be bothered with the whole 'i'm on antibiotics' fib i've spun countless times.
Still waiting for it all to end, although have been feeling uncomfortably bloated and tired. No real nausea yet, but I didn't get much of that with my DS either.

Hi ladies, hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day. Welcome nutshell

We has our early preg scan today (following the light spotting I had last week). Everything is in target and we got to see and hear the heartbeat! It was amazing!
