  • I have to admit I had soft boiled eggs for breakfast this morning..hard boiled eggs just do not cut the mustard! All eggs are vaccinated now though, so the danger of salmonela (sp?), is really tiny.

I am laying off the booze on the whole too, I may have a spritzer on Xmas day or a teeny glass of bubbly, but that's it.

I'm glad there's no restriction on cured meats..I love salami and parma ham!

I have zero symptoms tonight..trying not to worry but it is so hard when I have had 2 losses early on this year already..please can someone give me some words of comfort and sense? :o

how far are you? I can only say there have been plenty of people out there with no symptoms - think of those people who only find out they are preggers after 12 weeks!!! There's still plenty of time for you to get nauseous and throw up...and then you'll be taking it all back!!

I vividly remember wanting to die at around 7 weeks last time :) Also told hubby not to get me pregnant ever again.

I'm 6+2 now and the sickness started yesterday.

I know what you mean about the eggs! I love my poached eggs and would rather not eat them than eat them "well done"

I wouldn't worry about the no symptoms. Mine have been on and off and I feel they were a lot stronger before I found out I was pregnant! I even did another test just to be sure.... :o

I'm sure it will all go well for you. Try not to worry too much and enjoy Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas... I was hoping not to tell anyone quite yet as it's such early days but don't know how I'll keep it a secret when I'm not drinking (usually a big boozer at Christmas!)

I didn't have any symptoms until I was around 6-7 weeks and then I just bloated out which was horrible along with terrible nausea.

I met up with my heavily pregnant friend on Friday and she told me that she didn't have any symptoms at all throughout her first trimester - the only way she knew she was pregnant was because she went off wine! She didn't even have any cravings!

The symptoms only appeared in her 2nd trimester with a bit of heartburn! She is now the size of a house......and getting kicked from all angles but still no real pregnancy symptoms apart from the obvious size-issue ones!

So you are fine MV.....you could just be having a dream pregnancy like my friend has! *jealous* :p (or perhaps you are just in the calm period before the storm of sickness, bloating etc.... begins!).

Oh...and I had 2 runny fried eggs this morning too - yummy!
  • Thanks girls. I actually looked back into the old 12 weeks thread from 2010, and found myself at exactly the same point (5 weeks), worrying about exactly the same thing..no symptoms!

I've had the odd twinge in my bbs, and a bit of bloating last week, but nothing today at all. And the thought of a large glass of red wine isn't off-putting at all!:rotfl:

MV - I had zero symptoms until 6 weeks when mild nausea started, and then vomiting at 9 weeks. At 5 weeks it is very normal to have no symptoms.

My DH's cousin had so few symptoms she didn't know she was pregnant until 25 weeks!

Hi MV, I still lurk here a little. I was pretty much symptom free.... still am really, thank goodness the scans see a baby, otherwise I could believe that my bump is just cake and crisps (22 wks tomorrow)
You'll have to work on the odds, you're more likely to have a healthy pregnancy with a healthy baby than anything bad happening (despite prev. history)
Enjoy Christmas and (maybe not what you wanted to hear) I'm off alcohol completely now.x
  • MV - Yay for attentive GPs and a definite sac. Fingers crossed the first 12 weeks goes quickly for you xx

:DI'm not - I keep sniffing the tops of my OHs beer bottles longingly when we go out - god it smells nice! (I must look quite odd!)

I crave for a long tall glass of lager (or cider...or in fact prosecco - my fave....!) but I am staying away until the end of the 9 months. I didn't drink much before either - only the odd glass at weekends.
  • hey I guess this thread is quieter as a few of us have moved on too the 12-24 thread. Still keeping an eye though :)
MV-- I had hardly any symptoms at all, only sore boobs from about 6 wks. I've had zero sickness/nausea and no cravings. So please try not to worry-tho I did but am now 14 weeks with a perfect scan and strong heartbeat-now worrying about not having put on weight though!

Alcohol-wise, mmm fruity cider! Would love some!Or a half lager tops! But I am settling for occasional the asda non-alcoholic rose stuff! And schloer! In a wine glass it kinda makes me feel like i'm drinking!Might get some non-alchololic lager for xmas day though-anyone tried it? Tempted to have a glass of real bubbly too but don't know if I'll go through with it!
