That's great news about the scan lovecake, were your dates accurate? Were you as far along as you thought you were?

Thanks! The GP put me at 10+6, but I knew I ov'd later in my cycle (about cd19) so I knew I would be a little earlier than this. Scan placed me at 10+2 so pretty much bang on what I thought!

Oh no, the sickness is back...:( Have been fine with medication since last Thursday but today, nope. Please, please don't let this start again, I have a uni assessment on Friday that I have to attend :(

Glad to hear the scan went well lovecake. I can't wait for mine on Monday, seems like so long away at the moment.

Sorry you are feeling poorly again. I was really sick on Monday, but (touch wood) I've been feeling a bit better the last few days.

Good luck for your scan on Monday! It is a very surreal experience! :)
  • Glad you had a good scan lovecake! I had mine yesterday too and all was well, can't believe there's actually a baby in there!it was pretty amazing :-) They dated me exactly the same as Midwife, 22nd June! crazy!

Aw, glad it went well! I will be around 9th July, but will need to wait to get the 'official' date from the NHS seen as it was a private scan I had.
  • Congrats on the scans lovecake and dippy, lovely news :-) my private scan dated me 2 days out but then i was bang on my lmp date on nhs one. i made my 16week appt for 9th Jan so something to focus on after Christmas., 12 weeks today and no sign of a bump or bigger b00bs!
    Mum of 2 :j
  • hugs for feeling poorly sparkles I hope you're a bit better this evening
Dippy glad your scan went well
Muffin be thankfull you don't have big swollen boobs mine are really uncomfortable!

Was anyone tempted to 'forget' when their LMP was (so say it was a week earlier) to get an earlier scan?
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again

Hi rum, welcome to the thread :) I remember you from the TTC thread but I was on a different username over there as there's links from my MSE name to my real name and we're trying to keep it quietish at the moment.
Page 648 had quite a lot of updates of how far everyone is, got a nice mixture I think :) Do you know how far along you are?

I'm intrigued to know who you are now as I was on the ttc board!

My wife was so relieved when the GP told her paracetamol was OK to take as she had a bad headache, so duly took some. Then got home and reading through all the info we got, it said not to take paracetamol in the 1st trimester (apparently). Cue wife worried she's done some harm :(

At least we've got our appointment through for the midwife - us being proactive rather than the service being efficient. We've also booked a private scan for before christmas, just so we don't have to make any excuses over christmas

    Glad scan went well lovecake!

Paracetamol is fine. Don't worry :)

I will be getting mine before 12 weeks because they insist on going on lmp instead of when I know I ovulated - so I figured ill let them get on with it then as i won't have to wait quite as long!
  • Couldn't then end up needing to scan more than once though? I've heard of a few ladies being scanned at 11 weeks and then having to go back again. Which is a bit of a pain with work and everything
  • Thanks everyone, it's amazing what a difference having the scan makes. Feels so real now, can start thinking about buying bits, I seriously need to do my research into prams! I have no idea what the best ones are, don't wanna turn up at the clinic with an embarrassing pram!
Minimuffin I have no sign of a bump either, in fact last week I lost 3 pounds! But I have gone up a bra cupsize which is quite nice :-)

I am having a very strange symptom but i'm sure it's pregnancy-related- I have had a blocked nose for about 5 weeks now! It's getting worse, so bad that I'm not sleeping properly cos I have to breath through my mouth which then dries up completely :-( Eating and drinking is difficult as every time I swallow my ears pop! It's a nightmare, I was using Otrivin, til I read it was bad for baby so now i'm trying Saline spray but it doesn't do anything. Has anyone else experienced this?Or got any advice?
