So so sad to see the news from TOFT
Thinking of you and your OH. Xx
Welcome Rum! I remember you from TTCI'm 11 weeks tomorrow and have a scan today at 4.30! I'm so nervous about it - I cannot concentrate!
Good luck dippy!0 -
Oh good luck lovecake and dippy :-) is your scan a private one lovecake? Welcome rum, i had af type pains until 7 weeks, its perfectly normal, just things stretching. I have the most horrendous acne at the minute, can anyone recommend anything to take it away? Must be hormones causing it.Mum of 2 :j0

Thanks! Yes, I booked a private one seen as we are not going to get our NHS one until 27th December (when I'll be 13+1). We really wanted to tell our families before Xmas so this was the only way to do it. I tried everything to get my awkward appointments moved (24th and 27th December). but they weren't having it.Ho hum! The scan has eaten into our Xmas savings, but it will be our present to each other!0

Oh and on the acne front - I have had a few break outs too. I find the Freederm gel stuff to be quite good at getting rid of spots fairly quickly.0

Thanks for the lovely welcomes!
Sparkles I think I am 4 weeks it would have been cd29 yesterday and that's when af usually shows. This is my first
Lovecake and dippy - good luck for your scans
Minimuffin - sorry I don't know what to recommend for acne, but hopefully it will vanish soonIf at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
I had a private scan too at 8 + 4, mainly cos i needed reassurance. the dates the nhs gave you are crazy, i had my scan at same time as booking appt with midwife and Will have shared care with my local community mw in gp surgery.
My skin is so awful, it was bad when i was taking the pill then cleared away when i did swi and is back to being awful. Thanks for tip, Will try freederm!Mum of 2 :j0 -
Good for you! I think it is worth it if you need that reassurance! I am really hacked off because I asked if they could just do my scan on Xmas eve along with my booking appointment and she said that there needs to be 48hrs between the two (and those 48hrs just happen to be Xmas day and boxing day yeah!?). Seems like this is a load of rubbish as some of you other ladies have had the two at once. Such a pain in the bum to be traveling back and forth from our families to where we live now to go to these appointments - especially seen as we both took annual leave in between Xmas and New Year so that we could stay with our families for longer. Ah well, I better not start another rant! Hehehe!0
