lol flutters would definately be wind with me! It's like living in Chicago the windy city in our house! I am surprised that I haven't knocked my poor OH out! haha I'm gross! And, I'm burping more and I don't do burps!

My sickness is much better as well but I still need to take my faithful tub of crackers and a packet of mints with me wherever I go.

I wish that I felt comfortable in leggings. I don't know where everyone else lives but wearing see-through leggings seem to be the in thing near me. I can't bare the thought of anyone being able to see my orange peel though the fabric! Oh perish the thought! haha

I cant stand it when people wear leggings like they did back in the 80s - they should only be worn UNDER things!!!! I dont want to see peoples bright white knickers and bumpy bums when Im out and about thanks :rotfl:And it doesnt matter how big or small you are - it is NOT flattering! I dont know how people can not realise sometimes they are see-through as well!

mogwai (and everybody else!) - am also looking for some good skinny jeans. I love my Gap Always Skinny jeans so I ordered some maternity ones and they are not nearly as nice - quite baggy and not flattering at all, and don't come in a short length. Is anybody else petite and quite slim, and found good jeans that don't cost the earth?

My bump is teeny tiny at the moment so I think I just want underbump ones, although I won't be picky if they are comfortable!

I now have a teeny tiny bump too! Which i am very excited about and look at every time I go to the loo and get changed :rotfl: But its so small its not worth me buying anything yet - plus havent had scan yet.

Also like you Im petite and very slim so I guess I will need to try a load on to see what fits. My jeans are ok now. I guess were in a weird place where proper maternity clothes would be too big, but normal clothes you dont want pressing on you.

so - Kate Middleton- stolen my thunder for the 2nd time!!!

First she gets married 10 days after me and now it looks like shes about 10 days behind me pregnancy wise! What a copy cat :rotfl:

Poor girl though having the sickness that bad. And having all those reporters etc all knowing you are pregnant before you wanted to tell people.

So after surviving the blood test and reassuring myself I wouldnt need another one for maybe a month or whatever, the dr called me today and said I have to go back for one!

Apparently the midwife sent my bloods off for some biochemistry test probably accidentally- which they dont normally do because being pregnant can alter the levels, plus its just not something they test for. But because its happened, my sodium levels are slightly high, so he said I have to go back and have another test, which will probably come back normal and then he can like cross it off, but now hes seen it he cant ignore it. But he said if he comes back high again he wouldnt even know what to do, as its normally only something people on tablets get.

However my Dad has already been on google and found apparently pregnant women can get sodium levels altered - which matches what the dr said about testing not being reliable - so I really dont want to go back now for this test as it almost seems pointless.

So anyway Ive booked it for weds to get it over with, but really dreading it as there will only be 1 nurse there and it was really the fact there was 2 of them there before that got me though it. I guess the only good thing is that I know what to expect now which was probably 80% of the fear.

Congrats sally and bodge! Bodge - I think thats the way most females tell their partners - I did the same - pee stick waving in the air is very common!!!:rotfl:

mogwai - I also have a wedding in the spring - I will have to check out that company you mentioned as I haven't a clue what to buy to wear!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20586343 - I wonder whether any of us will be sharing a royal due date??!!! ;)

I am now 12+5 (or I think I am!) - scan will reveal all tomorrow - really nervous - oh well....what will be will be and all that....:o

  • Hi all, congrats to the newbies :-) I am 11 wks now and counting the days til my scan next tues! haven't had my blood test results yet, how long did everyone's take? Is anyone else in Wales?things tend to be slightly different.
Mrsj- i am really short-like 4ft 11 and quite slim-normally an 8-10 so am dreading trying to find maternity clothes! Also dreading looking like a beach ball with legs! I am not showing at all, in fact my mam reckons I've lost weight! Had a chest infection last wk so spent lots of time in bed. But the New Look ones are so cheap at the mo-11.99 and come in 28inch leg. So may purchase some after my scan!
  • Earlier than 12 weeks is all that I've heard so far.

Good luck with your scan, IHateDida.

    And welcome to the newbies!

Hmm, I have the joy of finding maternity jeans still to come. I have a 35 inch inside leg so they are impossible to find on the high street. I'm bigger than with my last pregnancy so doubt the ones I had then will fit. Ho hum, better start trawling the internets for some half decent trews... Luckily I'm still OK in my normal jeans for now.

My Down's test results came back yesterday, which I thought was pretty quick since I only had the scan and blood tests last Thursday. My risk is 1 in 3500-ish, which is very low when you consider the age related risk at *mumble mumble* is about 1 in 175 :o So we can now start telling people :)

Well, parents already knew. Our brothers and sisters now know, along with best friends :) I told DS's childminder when I dropped him off this morning and she says she should hopefully have a space for a tiny one in about a year's time, so that's good (Childminders are in high demand where we are and DS's is brilliant)

Just considering a FB anouncement to reach family and friends in far flung places, but need to work out how to hide it from certain people as there are some I know who are having a tough time with TTC who really don't need that sort of thing popping up on their news feeds.

I'm a Kate, so wondering if I should do a play on all the "Kate's pregnant!" stories in the news at the moment ;)

  • You can put friends into groups and then post status updates to just certain groups. I do it all the time to hide posts from people!

My friend has asked her child minder about spaces too, as she's brilliant and she'll have a space around the right time for our LO. Very sweet of her.
