mogwai (and everybody else!) - am also looking for some good skinny jeans. I love my Gap Always Skinny jeans so I ordered some maternity ones and they are not nearly as nice - quite baggy and not flattering at all, and don't come in a short length. Is anybody else petite and quite slim, and found good jeans that don't cost the earth?
My bump is teeny tiny at the moment so I think I just want underbump ones, although I won't be picky if they are comfortable!
I wear Gap skinnies too. I haven't started looking for maternity jeans yet, but would be interested to know if anyone finds some good ones!0 -
Aw bless you sallywl! I took a test in the morning and thought I could see a very faint line - I showed my OH and asked him if he could see it. We weren't sure. So I took two more at lunch time and saw a darker line so sent him numerous picture messages of it asking him to tell me if he could see a very faint line too! Haha! Then I took another the next day and we were convinced that it was positive. So I didn't really need to 'tell' him - it was more of a joint effort! Lol! How did everyone else tell their OH's?
I've been teasing her that if she'd been more composed she could have wrapped the pee stick as a christmas present.0 -
I have bootcut maternity jeans from New Look and I love them. Jeggings were ideal before that though as the waistband can go under bloat (not bump yet!) quite comfortably.
I called my OH into the bathroom and said look on the sink, he got grumpy and said he'd clean it later :rotfl: so I said ON the sink again and he looked and went, oh is that a? does that mean we're?
He was really shocked but very happyThe shock lasted about a week!

er.... warning to all you ladies, skinny jeans are great but if your thighs do anything like what mine have done you're not going to fit into them anytime in the third trimester. I'm not even in my pre-preg undies as they are usually boy-cut and my thighs are too big for the leg seams to be comfy. Heck, this morning it was a struggle getting into my non-skinny bootcut maternity jeans as they'd just been washed...0

Thanks savage - useful advice! I just want a nice fitting pair of jeans for now, so maybe I'll try and get a cheapish pair on ebay and then get a more 'relaxed' fit for later on!!
I have to say I find the look of most maternity clothes very boring, and I look dreadful in black!! Have got lots of nice long tops in my wardrobe already I can wear though, so don't need much, just some jeans and a few things for work. Trying to be :money:as much as possible...0 -
mrsj - look at new look skinny jeans, ive not tried them but they look nice in the pics, and they are all underbump. Quite a few shorter leg ones too
Im looking for overbump longer legs and cant find any decent looking ones online! Arrgh might have to pay a visit to bluewater or something this weekend- though I really dont fancy shopping in the xmas rush

Aw, that's so nice! My sister already has one at 6 and one at 9 and I'm kinda sad that my little one won't have any cousins close in age...0

I bought a nice pair of maternity jeans by Red Herring at Debenhams. They are really soft and ever so comfy. Also, they have some pretty t-shirts and dresses in. I have struggled to buy pretty clothes on the high street as I prefer to try them on first. New Look have some in but the quality doesn't really reflect the price tags.0 -
Really? Mine were £15, same as their normal jeans.
Looks like Kate is joining our ranks! I really feel for her having to tell before 12 weeks because of such awful sickness but they couldn't risk the hospital leaking the story I suppose. Hope she's okay, I wouldn't wish this sickness on my worst enemy!0
