My kids need to see a vegetable at least once this weekend....
I hope you were successful :rotfl:hi, can i join this room please
found out the other day im between 4/ 5 weeks pregnant!
Congratulations and welcome . I also fell pregnant after 2 months off the pill. This will be our firstI am not the most patient of people so having to mark off the days from the last emergency scan to this Thursday has been like an eternity, besides I am literally bursting at the seams with pride and want to tell all my friends and family.
I hope the time passes fairly quickly for you so you are able to share the happy news :j.
All good here, although still faaaaar to hot for me. It's still mid-high 30's which I think just adds to my nausea. It'll start to get cooler soon though and I am thankful that I'll be pregnant through the coldest months of the year
.
Next scan/doctors appointment is Monday 3 September, which puts me at 8 weeks 4 days. Upside of being here is that they seem to scan every 3 weeks or so. Downside is no NHS so currently having to pay for everything, although once married I can get free/reduced appointments etc. on other half's insurance. Let's just hope they don't have a pre-existing clause:eek:
I hope everyone is well. x0 -

I want to say 'thanks' but that doesn't feel appropriate :rotfl:. I hope it passes for you soon and rather selfishly, I hope I'm not feeling pants after 13.5 weeks. (((hugs)))0 -
Congratulations... we found out our daughter was 8 weeks pregnant last week and im soooooo excited. Bit of a miracle as she was admitted into hospital 7 times last year and 2 this year with huge cysts on her ovaries which has left alot of scarring. I just get happy when i think of people being pregnant lol...Good luck0

Welcome helen4891! You have officially knocked me off the bottom of the list as the newbie!
MrsMM - my kids were quite excited at the sight of a vegetable and I enjoyed my roast too - about the first meal that week that I had actually cleared the plate with! (and kept down....)
Scans every couple of weeks - sorry did scan the thread but couldn't see where you were? That must be reassuring.
Poppie68 - how exciting - a grandchild! I have a friend who has cysts and I know the troubles she is going through to conceive and its very sad. So you must be so excited!! And I bet your daughter is over the moon! Is it your first grandbaby?0 -
hope you're ok 2b, what's Thrombocytopenia? x
Thanks tattoo - It basically means I have a low platelet count already (platelets are the things that help your blood to clot), any lower and I could spontaneously bleed. Yeah, fun.
Anyway - I feel super duper extra knackered because of it and I dont know what it means for the baby, I've googled and read stuff, but until I see my Haematologist, I dont know. I'm guessing they will need to monitor me.
Anyhoo, on that bright note - morning ladies! Im off to update the list and do some work on my only day in the office this week :j:j

Hello!!!
Can I please join? If the records are right I am 4weeks+4 today. Found out over the weekend (at a festival - think peeing into a plastic pint pot in a portaloo! classy) that were expecting a little bundle of joy
Majorly worried as means we conceived in the first few days on honeymoon (ahhhh) however this means that since then I have properly ticked most boxes on what not to do whilst with child, think scuba diving, flying, lifting heavy stuff, eating all sorts not to mention copious amounts of alcohol thanks to the all inclusive!
also a little worried about work I am a ta in a nursery so start back next wed and don't want to tell untill the magic 12 week scan but how can I get around not lifting sobbing newbies as they leave there parents for the first time or generally jumping around like an idiot as per my normal routine. Also only been there since Easter so feel a little bad however they did say they all expect me to return pregnant after the wedding.
Sorry for the long major rant and hello!
p.s please please advise me not to reheat my home made burger from last night! I couldn't face it but now its calling me and I am thinking if I really nuke it it might be ok?0 -
Hi ladies
I'm a bit nervous to join this thread so soon, but would love the support and advice, and I miss chatting on the friendly ttc thread!!
I found out I was pregnant on Saturday, the clear blue digi said 1-2 weeks but my last period started on 15 July, so I'm not really sure how many weeks I am. I wasn't tracking ovulation last cycle but have a vague idea of when it might have happened. Anyway, I think I'm probably somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks!
I've got no symptoms at all, other than weeing a lot (although I am drinking a lot more water!) and I keep waking up at night which is not usual for me - might just be the nerves/excitement, I'm not sure.
All being well, this will be our first and DH and I are very excited, but trying to take things one step at a time as it's such early days.
I've booked a GP appointment for Monday just to get on the system and get the first midwife appointment booked in etc.
Look forward to getting to know you all over the coming weeks!
