Well I said I'd let you know what aqua natal class was like, and today was the day. I'm 36wks+3 today, so quite a big bump, and other than walking, hadn't really done any other exercise the entire pregnancy. The class was really good though. The water takes the weight of the bump and it's low impact on your joints, and the midwife running the class tailored the exercises to work your core muscles and pelvic floor. I had a brilliant time and it was great to meet other local mums-to-be. I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone who would like to get into a regular exercise routine - wish I'd found them sooner.
Thanks for this, I think i will start going once i have got my little girl settled in at school maybe start in october once i am past the 12 week mark. It is only at the bottom of my road so I have no excuse not to go really!0 -

I need advice ladies and don't know who else to ask. I've been off work quite a lot recently, I'm just so exhausted and nauseated all the time. I'm not sleeping well as my b00bs are excruciatingly painful when I'm asleep. The bigger issue now is that my oh is giving me no support, he doesn't ask if I'm ok or give me a hug or anything. He thinks I'm taking the pi$$ wih being off sick (I get full pay so no impact to money or anything). I wish he could just understand what I'm going through, is that too much to ask? I've tried to talk to him about it but he feels like hes done nothing wrong and I'm starting to think its just me and I need to get over it! Am I asking too much?xSaving money like a trouper...0

Hugs dundee - I think to a certain extent my DH was the same in the early stages of pregnancy - I was ill all the time and all I did was moan about it all the time. The thing that helped us was talking to friends who'd been through it so he could see that it was all normal. Also going to antenatal classes where there were other couples who shared their experiences brought us a lot closer. I also got a book out of the library by babycentre and it has a week-by-week double page that I read to him each week.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Dundee, it's normal I'm afraid. I wasn't off work thankfully though.
Can you get him to read a book aimed at men supporting their partners during pregnancy or talk to others as Sexymouse suggested? Mine was fairly sympathetic but even so, the day after we moved house I couldn't get out of bed - I had a minor post nasal drip, but it meant that if I moved from horizontal I was immediately very nauseous, and couldn't eat anything. So I stayed in bed all day, and then eventually was kicked out of bed as it had to move over a bit and he couldn't move it with me in it. I got upright, and was immediately violently ill (even though I'd eaten nothing all day, which he knew!). Then he twigged that I wasn't just being lazy or exaggerating. Also, we saw another friend who's got two kids and she said her doctor likened the sudden onset of the 'must nap, NOW!' to being stronger than horse tranquilizer, so he was more sympathetic to the lazing on the sofa as soon as I got home from work after that too.0 -
Dundee, my DH was also a bit doubtful about the amount of time I had off work - until he was at home on a weekend and saw me throwing up violently every 20 minutes for the whole morning (that was the day I first burst capillaries in my cheeks from vomiting!) Before then he kept saying "you should *try* to go in, you can always come home again" I don't think he realised how bad it was, just thought I was a bit queasy and moaning a lot
. He was much more sympathetic after he'd actually seen the extent of it.
I was able to work at home for a large portion of my "sick" days, as in between I was ok, as long as I didn't have to get dressed/look professional! :rotfl: Any chance your work would let you do this if you feel up to it?Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Thanks for the replies, I can't work from home unfortunately that isn an option. Im just so exhausted at the moment and just want a little bit of sympathy but I think that's too much to ask lol! My boss rang me yesterday when I phoned in sick and asked if I was bleeding or anything, which seriously !!!!!! me off! I think I'm just hormonal and maybe need to just get over it I thinkSaving money like a trouper...0

Your boss has no right to ask you specifics like that dundee - all they need to know is that you're ill. :mad:Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

That's what I thought sexymouse, the thing is he was a friend before my boss so I feel awkward saying anything but it really annoyed me!! I haven't told oh about it since he's being distant an now he's ignoring my texts *sigh*. Didn't realise I would have a 34 y/o child to deal with when pregnant. Anyway I have to do something to cheer myself up, so fed up of being down this morning! Thanks everyone xSaving money like a trouper...0
