I'm used to having a really low immune system due to my ulcerative colitis but have never felt like this before.

Poor beanie having to put up with my coughing and sneezing!!

Nice being off work the last few days but wow daytime tv is rubbish!be glad to get back into work!

Hey Abby, looks like our scan is on the same day 13th September - mine is at 2.30pm. Really do hope you feel better from that cold soon

Just went to Halfords to get some new back brake lights and walked past the child car seats....picked one of them up and it was sooo heavy - not sure I'm going to like lugging it around too much! Hubby said it was actually quite light (so I think I will make him carry the baby!) felt very weird watching him holding it - almost seems real!

Yep, scan is thursday 13th sept at 1pm ish. although my Lmp was 13th june, my cycles were all over the place so will be nice to see at the scan if im 13 weeks or 12 weeks and know the EDD.

Is this your first baby? All the best for your scan, let us know how you get on.

Yes, I'll be making sure i pass the car seat to the OH to carry. Im hoping to get a travel system pram so wont really have to lug the carseat around much!

My lovely friend who had a baby this april has offered to lend me a number of things when the baby arrives. Some people are so kind!

Well I won't be able to let you know what my aqua natal class tomorrow is like after all, as the pool has been closed due to a chemical leak. Will have to wait until next week to wear my new costume - just hope my ever-increasing bump will still fit in it! Will also be 36+3 by then, so it may actually be the first and only session I go to if Bean arrives early.

hi everyone, I'm still lurking here, not feeling brave enough to go to the big thread yet.

got my next mw appointment tomorrow but no scan until mid-oct very confused by this as the mw at booking requested an early scan and a 12 week one but i was told when i called that i wouldnt get the 12 week scan. I'm gonna ask the mw about that tomorrow.

I'm finally starting to be able to eat food again although i went to my friends last week who said i must be pregnant because i politely declined coffee ( i think he knows me to well)

Oh no sexymouse, I bet you were looking forward to it to, could you go to another local pool for a swim instead?

DW and I went to look at travel systems today and we're totally decided on one. :j

I have been having a little think about pushchairs and i remember last time we only actually used our travel system for 9 months when we switched to a mclaren quest stroller pushchair instead so i am loathe to spend a huge amount on a travel system if the same will happen again. I am considering buying second hand this time or looking for a really good deal on a new one and making sure this time i will get more use out of it.
