YesCompletely normal. Everything grows, and is a bit poky and painful.
I had a massive stitch and pain in my side yesterday and I'm 25 weeks. It's all changing shape and size, and it does twinge
ETA: In fact, when I got my BFP I was convinced I was about to come on as I had definite period type feelings. I only did it because I'm a POAS addict!0 -
I'm going to my first aqua-natal class on Wednesday so will let you know how it goes - bare in mind that I'm 35 + 3 by then though and other than walking, won't have done much exercise up until now.
Parentcraft classes are definitely worth going to though - we did NCT ones (quite expensive) and also did an NHS one on active births and water births that included a tour of the labour ward and birth centre. If you want to go on the NHS courses, my trust let you book online, but you need to be quick, as they fill up quickly due to the fact they are free.
I found ours a dreadful waste of time last time to be honest... we had the mandatory "oooh let's cringe at the forceps and scare them all witless with the epidural kit" session, and then hours of how we should move around in labour... water births etc... none of which prepared me for the reality of being physically stuck to the bed - not allowed to wander around for fear of a cord prolapse or being physically held down to the bed by some woman with enormous norks (which didn't half get in the way of opening my legs to push) because they couldn't get a good heart trace as the little madam kept wriggling away from the sensor... and then an emergency trip to theatre for a spinal block and forceps as she was starting to get distressed at being stuck! None of the breastfeeding stuff covered any realities of having any problems - let alone being stuck with a 4lb preemie to try to latch on... bottle feeding was not even mentioned... and we didn't get the baby bath demo as it was a sunny day so every mum they'd contacted to try to borrow a new baby to demo on had vanished off to the park to enjoy the sunshine and told them no chance!
Think I shall be giving it a miss this time! Wasn't even worth the "making mummy friends" part of it as half the couples there lived in the same street so they all just talked to the people they knew!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
morning all.
woke up feeling pretty rubbish today really, not sure what exactly is the matter bit of everything i think! Headache, dicky tummy and just a general feeling of being 'not with it'
not managed breakfast yet just tying to drink loads in case it's dehydration that's making me feel rough.
Hope everyone else has had a better start to the day!0 -
binky,
Hope you start to feel better soon, how long have you felt like it? Keep drinking!
I've got a stinker of a cold, it's really hit me for six. For the last two nights I've hardly had any sleep. I had such a painful sore throat i could hardly swallow and my lovely OH went to Tesco this morning at 4am to get me some halls soothers! I was crying i was in so much pain. Never had a cold like this before.
Counting down the days until the scan on the 13th sept, im praying that baby is okay, im sure it will but just have it in the back of my mind that something will be wrong. Silly i know!
hope everyone is okay.0 -

Hi 2b,
I picked up the Emma's diary pack last week aswell, I love freebies aswell! I did use the voucher at Boots first and they gave me the 1st Bounty pack instead, so printed another and got the correct one from Argos!
Poor Oh was looking through all the medicines etc at 4am to try and see which ones could be used whilst pregnant, he gave up in rthe end and just got halls soothers for me!
Mum is popping over in a bit with honey and lemon for me to use for my throat, hope it helps it!0 -
Poor you Abby.
I got really ill with a virus and sinus infection which ruptured my eardrum when I was about 7 weeks, had to have antibiotics and lots of paracetamol to keep my temperature down. I never get ill like that, it's your body concentrating on something else (beanie) and it makes you more susceptible to illness. It's rubbish, but on the up side, your body is doing the 'right' thing...!0
