Wow lobster10! thats some money that, but your baby will be worth every penny.
I will be finding out the sex of the baby again, i did with my last 2 as well!
Someone mentioned nuchal scan, i am not personally i just wouldnt know what to do with the results if anything bad was confirmed. I think people can deal with a lot more then what they give themselves credit for, althought i do understand people watin to be prepared in the worse case senario.
Morocha i hope you enjoy your scan today, how much are scan pictures in your areas? mine here were £2.50 a pic with DD (about 4ish years ago) £3.50 a pic with DS ( about a year ago)
so i am going to guess they will be about £5 this time around.0 -
thank you !! i will re search about the urine sample to find out the sex, thanks for that.

Hi ladies, can I join please?
I got my bfp 01.07.12 and I'm 6 weeks today so think baby is due 08.03.13.
My OH and my sister are the only ones who know so far, not easy keeping it quiet! I've been avoiding all social situations so far because I think it will be too obvious if I don't drink.
I saw my GP last thurs, he just gave me a form to fill out and hand in at receiption. Don't have a booking in appt or scan date yet.
I definitely want to find out what I'm having. I don't really want to decorate in neutrals and buy all white / cream clothes! I think waiting for a surprise is a lovely idea but for me it's just not practical. And I'm very impatient0 -
Hello msnigella welcome and congratulations!
Is it your first baby?0 -

But didn't you have a urine infection and are on antibiotics??? oh no... just when you thought you was all better...it didn't quite clear up with the first course of antibiotics & came back with a vengance...the glass of wine you had with your meal last week went straight to your head as a result of taking them and made you feel awful in the morning..not to mention makes you need to pee more!!!:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -
Yes it's my first
so v excited and nervous!
No symptoms so far other than sore boobs. Hoping I'll be lucky enough to avoid ms but suspect it'll hit me soon...0 -
Hello ladies, mind if I join you all
I had my BFP 11/07, this is my 3rd baby, very excited and nervous, worried i've forgotten everything!!! And trying not to get my hopes up as its early days!
Going by the first day of my last period my due date is 21/03/2013, so i am only 4 weeks 1day.
This is our 4th month of trying, have been taking Folic Acid since before we started, and I also take Floradix tablets even when not pregnant as a little boost
Not going to make a doctors app just yet, will wait a few weeks as I don't want to jinx myself!
Hope you are all feeling well and enjoying the experience so farxx

welcome msnigella!
lobster I have also not heard of anyone surviving PPROM, especially at the gestation I was at. A lot of babies don't survive because they develop IUGR and stop growing. In the end the worry shifted from the waters breaking to how much was left in me. Thankfully Thomas continued to grow and make amniotic fluid. He was on the smaller side at 6lbs 8.5oz but I know of smaller babies who had no problems.
We found out T was a boy at 18 weeks because we thought he wouldn't survive and we wanted him to be born with a name.
We want to not find out if everything goes well this time
morocha good luck at your scan!
OK I need to move T has an appointment with his plastic surgeon and occupational therapist today.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

At the NHS hospital where my scans are they charge £1 a scan print but the one i had yesterday they don't normally give them out but i popped back in and asked her if i could have one as i never got one when i had a m/c as it was to early ( cue me also crying but hey) and she let me have it for free so i just put a £1 in the charity pot anyway0
