Less than 12 weeks pregnant club! 2

Afternoon all,
Welcome to the newbies, forgive me - my brain is bit broken today and I'm being useless with names.
Just had a stupid pointless row with my DW, that ended up with me crying my eyes out and napping. I feel like I desperately needed both though!!
I meant to ask the other day, the form for the free prescriptions etc, do you get that immediately - or do you have to wait for a scan to confirm the pregnancy? My doctor seemed to think it was post scan - but that doesn't make any sense to me, what if I needed something now for the pregnancy?
I'm going to try to go to an early pregnancy unit for a scan, I suffered a miscarriage (back in 1997, twins), but it was only picked up when they couldn't find either of their heartbeats - I didn't bleed, so feeling incredibly nervous about the same happening.

Hi
Im wondering if anyone has advise for morning sickness.
Mine is all day sickness and its getting worse, i cant keep anything down and i'm starting to worry about getting de-hydrated. I've had kidney stones in the past and need to stay hydrated to help prevent them but nothing iv tried is working and im only 7 weeks ( i dont know if i can cope like this for however long)
so any help or advise will be much appreciated.Aims for 2014

Ellie, that sucks. I was thankfully more nauseous than actually sick.
Others have found ice-lollies good for keeping hydrated, might be worth trying. If that doesn't work I'd get yourself down to a doctors to see what they can offer you. Also possibly worth trying are those travel band pressure things?0 -

i think i'll try ice-lollies, and i was thinking about the pressure bands when it was just nausea but im not sure they will help with vomiting, but i'll try anything.
I might go the doctors, at 5 weeks he gave me gastrocote for nausea but it hasnt helped. Once i tell me parents it will be easier becaue my dads a doctor an i can ask him for advise, but i havnt figured out how to tell them yetAims for 2014
