Just popping in to say to whoever mentioned the Morning Sickness, I had 24hr nausea and vomiting 3/4 times a day from week 4 - 16 and the sea bands have definitely helped. At first I thought they were useless but when I took them off the MS returned straightaway. And nibbling dry cream crackers before moving out of bed in the morning helped a lot too. I never had an appetite (still dont at 22 weeks) but found having something in my stomach eased the nausea. I practically lived on cream crackers and ready salted crisps for the first 4 months

I got the form for the free prescriptions at my 10wk midwife appt too. HTH

Hi ya, a quick update.
Had a scan on Friday and now I am 11+2 and my new date i 01/02/13.
Evertyhng ws fine, saw baby heartbeat, hands tummy, legs... baby keep moving, it was reasuaring. I asked about t nuchal test and she said they dont do them, only the triple screening.... but as far as she could she everything was fine.
At the end, sh gve me 2 pics and did not want to take any money from me.

I am stll full of cold, with nausea and all day heachades, i feel awful, it is been more than 10 days so it is time to go to see the GP tomorrow, cant wait to feel human again.

Morocha, that's great news - congrats!

According to LMP I'm 11+1 today. Had a family party last night it was sooooo hard not to tell them. (DH's sisters - we don't see them very often so it was the perfect opp too.) Then today, I've got to go to my godson's party and the parents are always asking me "any baby news yet" and it's going to be sooo hard not to blurt it out.

And I had to cover some staff sickness today and had to come up with some crappy pants excuse about having a tummy bug to explain my retching.

ARGH! I've promised OH I won't tell (he's not coming with me to this party) - I'm seriously considering not going to this party in case I give in!!

Morocha- that's great your scan went well, I didn't know that some areas don't do nt scan, just thought it was a UK wide thing.

2b- I know it drags those first few weeks, I just like to think of it as a time where you get lots of spoiling and have a lovely secret that not a lot of people know.

Zcrat- poor you having to cover sickness when you feel !!!! yourself, hope you're feeling a bit better now. I was out for lunch at work today (honestly it was work, lol) and had to force down a panini in a really hot restaurant, I got really dizzy and didn't think I'd blagged my way out of it very well! I'm still in the closet at work and hoping to be for a while yet. I'm hoping they just think I'm having really heavy weekends on the wine!!

Sequeena- how far on are you? I'm 12+3 (by lmp - no scan yet) and from 10 weeks can feel definate flutters, only every 3-4 days and only for a minute at a time but it's def not gas, too far down and at the front) is this your second or subsequent babies? I think it's quite common to feel things earlier after the first time.

Nothing else exciting but I second seabands and loads of us have raved about read salted crisps, I also find dry toast & oatcakes good. I think the main thing is to just eat little and often bit make sure you do eat a little.

Hi, no tattoo, i am not telling people, maybe because i have been indoors for the last 2 weeks and the only people i saw are my in laws, and they already know. I feel re assured now, and can not wait to tell, but also i am not showing at all so maybe if anybody asks i will say yes but wont say anything until i have a bump.

Ok, i feel awful, i have a cold, a headache, earache and teeth pain to, the back of my teeth hurt and dont feel like eating, i feel like i am going to be sick any minute. I really dont fancy food at all, but if i dont eat, then i feel like i am gonna throw up. Not having fun here, i feel like i am going to pass out any minute, tomorrow can not come quick enough for the GP to give me something.

(((hugs))) morocha - sounds like you're having a pretty rough time, I'm sure the doc can sort something for you

How is everyone else doing?

Are you telling people once you've had your first scan or waiting pretty mutch until you can't hide it anymore? I think we want to tell people after the first scan, especially my boss due the physical nature of my job. We're not going to do a massive announcement but just tell people if it comes up.

Minted - have you got a scan date yet?

Zcrat - you must have some willpower - I wouldn't have been able to keep quiet!!!
