I amjen - well i got in work early this am (6.45) to tell my boss, i explained the situation with a bit of back story and she said "congratulations that's great news, we had problems with our two, so i understand. We will sit down in next few weeks to discuss things" i am stunned as i thought she would not be happy. Oh well now that is something less to worry about.
Hope everyone is well. X0 -

Sorry for your loss Crispy Chris
Finally heard from the midwife only to be told to phone the surgery for an appointment for next Friday! I said i'd be 10 weeks by then and she said, "Oh gosh, we really do need to see you" Well i saw the doctor at 6 weeks and have been waiting ever since for them to phone me!! Phoned the doctors who said the midwife is fully booked so could i make it the following week, i'd be 11 weeks then! In the end i spoke to the midwife again and she's coming to my house next Thursday so i'll be 9+6, much better0 -
I've just come back from having my first scan. I am exactly 9 weeks today. So that means January's bleed was a real period and not implantation.
The policy here is that if you've had a scan after 8 weeks you don't get another dating scan. The nurse was so nice she asked us if we were having nuchal scan and we said no. She said that she would make a notes on our paperwork saying that we did want nuchal which would mean we would need to come back in again for a 12 week scan as 9 weeks is too early to do the reading. She said it wasn't fair that Nottinghamshire don't allow a second dating scan. She advised when we come in for that scan we just have the scan and say we'd changed our mind and that we didn't want nuchal.
I hope that all makes sense.
Basically we get to go again in 3 weeks and see a baby shape rather than the blob we saw today!0 -

Glad your scan went well. I'm 9 weeks today as well :j Can't wait until my 12 week scan, i too am thinking the bleed i had in January may have been an implantation bleed so we'll have to wait and see0
