Thank you Pebbles - I go on the DFW boards quite a lot so I know what we need to do. Really a lot of the problems have come from OH changing jobs before Christmas, there was a bit of a mess up and he ended up being 'between jobs' for 2 months, which doesnt seem like a lot but we had no savings and I only work part time so he has always been the main earner.
Even though he has been in his new job since January we are still trying to catch up with ourselves IYSWIM? Alot of bills were just put to the side. My rational side knows everything is going to be ok as OH is in a much better paying job now, but I'm just so tired and fed up with it!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hi all :hello:
7 sleeps until the scan - not sure if I'm more excited about seeing Giblet for the first time or the fact that it means my husband will be home from Scotland early on a Wednesday instead of a Friday
I'm not going for the nuchal fold test - it costs £180 here. My midwife explained that they'll take blood (the first!) at the scan (I'll be exactly 12 weeks) then she'll take more at 16 weeks - they'll go into a computer & hey presto they give you the odds. You can then opt for an amnio from there if you're worried but as has been said - if you're not likely to terminate there's no point in going for the amnio whatever the results of the blood test. I haven't decided what I'll do yet - just wait for the odds & go from there but I am 34 now.

Don't let your debt worry you cos you will find a way. If we all waited until we could afford children, the majority of us would probably never have any.
I hope that's helped. It's what's getting me through it. Esp considering I have recently found out that I maybe about to be made redundant and I've not been here long enough to get redundancy pay! It also means bye bye to mat pay!!
Thank yousee I knew I could come on here and have a moan!
I've got everything crossed for you that you dont get made redundant!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I'm dying for a drink! Just one great big rose!
I'll have to make do with sweets
Got my scan date through, but OH says theres no way he can leave work for it at the moment, too much going on. I hate the thought of going alone. I found a private place that does evenings, but it's over 1hr away, I don't know if we can fit that in.
Getting really stressed with work stuff & don't see how I'm going to fit no2 in when I only just fit no1 in!
I've told people at work due so some 'occupational hazards', some are being really nice, but some seem to be making life harder for me!! Piling on the pressure/work as if they will have to do more work when I have it (yes this is slightly true, but only 10% & I'm not the kind of person who stops working when I'm at home/ ill, I've always been in contact/work as much as possible when off or in evenings if needed!)
I've just cooked a big dinner & can't be arsed to eat it

Hello all, mind if I join you?
I'm 10+3 today, no real symptons at all except some sore b00bies and slightly more tiredness that usual, and absolutely petrified! This is not at all what I expected, I thought I'd feel like death warmed up! (What am I like eh? worried because I feel ok but I'd sure as heck be complaining if I felt rough :rotfl:)
I've had my booking in appointment and my scan is on the 21st so not long to go before I can see the conclusive evidence that there is indeed a little human growing inside me.
Hubby has been so great, I did worry a little about whether he was ready for kids, but he's so excited and being the model father to be
Hope you are all doing well and that those little ones of yours keep growing nice and strong and healthy xx0 -
Welcome leandygandy-congratulations. I understand what you mean about the symptoms i have bad m/s but it does make me feel happy. I wouldnt worry about the symptoms hopefully they will kick in soon ;-) but until then try to enjoy not having them. Your scan date is the same as mine. Glad to hear about your hubby, it's so sweet when they try soooo hard.
Look after yourself.

I rang them to see if I could get a later one, the latest they had was 4.30. Guess I'll be on my own as have no family near by either.
I'm just scared I'll get there & theres something wrong & it's 1/2hr away on the motorway I wouldn't be able to drive home!
Got to stop being so pesimistic. I just think the spotting a few weeks ago is haunting me:j - DS - 7

don't worry hun, be positive. when i lost my first i had my scan and they found out something was wrong. i wasn't on my own i was with my nan as hubby had to work and nan had never seen a scan and was so excited. they didn't let me go home till hubby got there as they wanted to talk it all through with him also, my mum drove to hospital to collect my nan and hubby got droped off so he could drive the car home. i'm guessing it is becuase i was in such a state. i dont' really remember. but he was called from work. i guess they phoned his office as i know i didn't.
if somethign does go wrong, you won't be on you own for long hun, your be very well looked after.
do u have a friend or neighbour who might be able to come with you ? but i do understand your concerns , i think they are somethign that we all think at some point, it is only natural.0
