Have some strange, far low left pains going on for about an hour now. Trying not to freak out, hoping that it's some sort of ligament pain. Definitely different than the period type mild cramps of the past eight days. I was doing a bit of work around the house today and my neck is sore too, so I'm hoping that it's just a bit of overwork maybe?

erm.. do you need a poo?

Low left side pain is a sign our sluggish bowels are full... very common problem over here :p

Haha. Don't think so. :D I've been sitting on the sofa for a good while now, and feel somewhat better (still twinges, but smaller). I'm sure it's probably nothing, but this is my first time down this road, y'know? :)

I'm thinking about trying some sort of meditation/visualisation technique, as I figure 34 more weeks of anxiety can't be good for a baby!

Hey Jen, I had lots of this a few weeks ago if that helps at all. Got them on and off for a couple of weeks. Now just get them occasionally. I experienced all sorts of types of stretchy, twingy pains but thanks to people on here came to realise it's quite normal. Rest helps :-)

  • Morning ladies - hope we're all well?

Got to go and have a chat with my boss today, I worked all weekend (21 hours standing up in serious heat ) and by about 7.30 last night felt like I'd been hit by a train! My legs literally stopped working, was a horrible feeling. Knew I'd struggle working in a chippy being pregnant but we need the wonga so have been trying to just get on with it but I genuinely don't think I can. I read somewhere that if you're unable to do your job and there isn't an alternative that your employer can give you then you should be suspended on full pay - does anyone know anything about that in practical terms?

On the plus side, I've got a week off now :j so I figure if I tell my boss now he'll have stopped sulking by my first shift back next Wednesday!

We also told our parents over the weekend, we weren't going to until after the scan, but DH's parents were really fed up when we went to see them so we thought we'd give them the news and cheer them up a bit - worked a treat :)!

9 weeks today for me, just waiting for my scan appointment letter - can't wait to see bean :D
  • Talking about belly pains, I was leaning sideways in bed (picking a magazine off the floor!) and sneezed, the pain in the side of me, arrrgh!! I thought I'd dislocated my ovary/uterus!! Obviously things are stretched as far as they go! Then I had fits of giggles and thought everything would fall off/out!

9+5 today, need some maternity jeans pronto! My belly is getting very round! 1/4 baby, 1/4 gas, 1/4 poo & 1/4 fat (well maybe 1/2 fat, little everything else!)

Appetitie back, craving anything with high fat, high calorie content :( .

Not feeling broody this week, can't be arsed with it all. Don't know how I'm going to have time to be a good mum with my job (can't take proper maternity leave as family business) everyone around me being negative - I can't believe your having a baby, your so busy. How are you going to cope, blah blah blah!

Hugs to everyone going through good & bad times xx

OH has an app on his iphone that tells you what is happening each week in pregnancy. This week (I am 11+1) it says "your trousers may be beginning to feel tight" - very depressing to read when I havent been able to fit into my normal jeans for 3 weeks now :rotfl:
