I think i am 6+3 today. not exactly sure as i think i concieved when i was expecting af. my cycle must have been a bit funny that time!

I haven't had any symptoms as all, is anyone else the same?

I didn't get symptoms last time and neither did my mum or grandma when they were pregnant so it shouldn't worry me but it does!

I haven't been to the doctor yet to get the pregnancy confirmed and need to do this before i can make the booking in appointment. I feel that because i lost the baby last time at 11+2 i want to drag everything out as much as possible and then have the booking in/scans quickly rather than booking appointments and waiting weeks for them. Now i am thinking i should get a move on incase they want to do anything extra after the mc last time.

i think the epu said i should ring them when i get pg again but i don't know if that sounds right now? did anyone else have to do this?

Hey pepplespop - I did the same kind of thing; gave myself a "thing" to do each week and didn't contact GP/MW straight away so that I didn't have ages to wait - it really helped me get through the weeks.

I didn't have to call EPU but I'd definitely give it a go - it may get you an early scan so worth a try!

    xDx

EPU don't accept self referrals usually so you'll have to speak to the doc.

You might not need to see the doc for a booking appt. I had to rin they gave me the MW number over the phone and I rang them and they sent out notes to be filled in and booking appt.. Thursday but I think I'll be bleeding by then.. I don't feel very positive about this one again.. th last one is rolling about on the floor throwing her babynest about.. hooligan!

I am starved.. full of wind (scampi last night :o) and I am incredibly tired.. when squeak goes down for a nap shortly I will join her I think.

the nurse who looked after me at the epu said to ring her when i get pg and then i don't have to go through the story with other people. she also said they might try me on asparin or something as the mc happened around the time that the placenta would be taking over and maybe that failed. i will give them a ring when i get home and see what they say.

not too bothered about an early scan as everything was fine at my normal 12 week scan last time so it wouldn't really reassure me but i suppose it would be nice to see whats happening.

i would like a 14 week scan to make sure everything is still ok. might book a private one if i can't get the nhs to do it.

it doens't seem right to ring the epu but the nurse said thats what i should do. i am doubting myself though! will ring them and see what they say.

in my area you need to get the nurse at the doc's to do a pg test then you can ring the midwife.
  • Mainly for women who are on 2nd or 3rd pregnancies (that went to term)....and pigpen....what is the very very earliest you have felt the baby kick?

I know its far too soon for me (if the dates are correct..starting to doubt it now though), but i am convinced thats what I felt yesterday and a few days previous. Am I imagining it?

I'd definitely call them - the worst that can say is that you need to go to GP etc and follow the normal route.

You have nothing to lose - good luck!

sorry I was just lurking. This is baby number 3 for me and I swear I felt 'bubbles' at 10 weeks. at the time I asked on the pg thread if anyone had experienced it and they all said it was just wind. But after 2 babies I 'knew' it was the baby and not wind.
it mainly happened when I was sitting on the couch with my legs curled up. I would be watching telly then get the wee feelings.
so It sounds like it could be.

I felt moving at about 9-10 weeks with most of them and actual kicks from about 13-14 weeks usually.

Bubbles of wind can feel very very much like kicks.

  • Well, if my dates are very wrong I would be about 10 weeks so i suppose its possible if you guys have felt it around then? I'm sure I read somewhere that if its a multiple pregnancy you can usually feel movement earlier too.

Argh, waiting for this first scan is the worst one. Atleast afterwards you know the score and arn't wondering how many, if any, are in there.

Im quite eager to get the ball rolling with the consultant too. Although thats my life story - I want to do everything yesterday. Patience is one of the many virtues I lack.
