need to ring up today or tomorrow......hopefully get 6 months free + 6 months @ £9.500

I rang today & was told that they have some new prices coming in two month's time. Offered me 2 months free until then when I can choose what to do.0

We thanks to the various contributors to this thread, I rang O2 retentions. Without any drama, I was offered the six month free/six months @ £9.50 on my existing package (currently £7.66 pm) which I accepted. I was out of contract (so free to move without penalty). So long as I keep topping up the mobile, I can now forget about it until 2012 and enjoy what is (hopefully remains!) a reliable service for £1.10 per week. Thanks again guys.

I'm in contract for my phone line, but I'm out of contract for my broadband. I'm on legacy standard broadband. Are they likely to offer me any deals considering I'm with them for the landline and still under contract?0

I rang them yesterday, after being told the 6 months free on BB Standard deal didn't exist, she checked with her manager and gave me it. How long should it be before it'll show on my account on o2.com?0 -
rang up today complaining about price increase. 1st she suggested new packages but said i use iplayer/sky player so basics no good.
got offered the £7/month deal for new 12 month contract on old standard (legacy) package.
i mentioned the 'free 6 months' offer and after checking i had an o2 mobile phone contact for more than 2 years, said she could offer that.

I had the price increase email a month or so back taking my basic unlimited package up from £5.11 to £9.50 - I have an O2 mobile number attached to the broadband account. I rang to complain about the hike and was told that the £9.50 did not include my discount so I would only be paying £7.15. I thought ok fair enough. This month I was charged that but today received an email that said the following
Just to let you know, your O2 broadband special offer discount will end on 07/04/2011.
After this date, your charge for O2 Home Broadband Standard will be £9.50. Any other charges e.g. Static I.P. are not included in the above figure.
Your latest bill and also previous bills can be viewed by logging onto o2.co.uk/MyBroadband.

I've emailed them today and complained and told them I was assured it would only be £7.15 and got this email back
Hi xxxxx
I'm sorry for the trouble.
You were offered special retention offer of £2.55 which is going to end
on 7 April 2011 and so, you'll be charged £9.50 from the next month
onward.
I hope this helps.

I've emailed them back now and told them I want a manager to contact me as it's really not an acceptable response. I'd also asked a few other questions in my email which were completely ignored in their response.
Has anyone else had this email and do you think I would get a better result if I rang them??
They don't seem to give two hoots about their customers now.
