Was just getting into bed when skinny puss decided it was dinner time. I put food out for him and another cat tried to steal it so I had to bring skinny puss and the food inside and sit on the stairs while I waited for him to eat so I could put him out again.
No "goodnight" text from painter. I hope I've not offended him too much by not going for dinner. It's probably really important for him to do something nice to thank me. I don't require any big thank you gestures. Cultural difference maybe --I can't be dealing with this.
Will he think I'm a right b***h for not letting him do something to thank me? I will let him buy me coffee but he seems to do that for no reason at all so he probably thinks it's not enough.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

I wish! Don't think she needs MSE
I think the "romance" might be over. When I called round to collect my €50 he didn't want to talk to me at all. He handed me a €50 note at the door in a similar fashion that I give money to the Avon lady (quick and polite with minimal chat so as not to be delaying her).
Then he just went straight back to his painting and barely looked up from it while I made polite chat for a few minutes. Got the message rather quickly that he didn't want to talk to me so I left.
He must be offended that I wouldn't go for dinner. I'm thinking he should be thankful that someone he met less than 3 weeks ago is being so nice to him.
No text messages since. I'm just going to leave it. If he texts again I'll reply but I'm not going to text and ask why he didn't want to talk to me. I did want rid of him but I'm still feeling a bit rejectedTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
€62 spent at the hairdressers just to cover grey roots. Todays chat with the hairdresser was about religion. He thinks it should be banned in public places or something, I wasn't interested enough to memorise the details. He's a great hairdresser and did a fabulous job of the colour stripping and fixing earlier in the year but now that my hair is ok again I am considering going elsewhere just because I'm starting to dread the conversations with him _pale_
Another customer had me thinking :money:Overheard her conversation with her hairdresser. She said she's between jobs at the moment and is just back from 5 weeks in Thailand and off to Italy for 4 weeks soon. Today she was having a cut and colour so her bill would have been double mine. Where do people get all this money :mad:Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Ha! I know that rejection feeling well!!!
Happy new hair, sometimes the chat can be very off putting eh?

The Bank Holiday weekend seemed to go on forever, didn't enjoy it at all, no sunshine and not much to do, was bored a lot. Today seemed to go on forever.
I am enjoying reading Lula's holiday updates though :T Thanks Lula :A
Painter did eventually text to say "I'm sorry". I don't even know what was wrong with him but I think he was upset about something that most likely had nothing to do with me. He issued another coffee invite so I told him I'd call round after work some evening. Only because he is my mothers neighbour so I have to be nice to him in case he's needed for a DIY emergency.
Not a very genuine reason for being his friend is it? I'm dreading having to call round to him at all.
Tomorrow's my birthday (33). I don't like birthdays, don't like getting older.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Just had another text from painter to say he got phone credit :T I'm amused that he managed to buy phone credit at 10pm on a Bank Holiday Monday night. He must have wandered as far as the petrol staton or even the 24hr Te$co. Obviously wouldn't be worthy of mention for most people but any regular readers will recall how much difficulty he seems to have with basic tasks necessary for independent living :rotfl:Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

Awww, thanks & Lulas you right back
- although I'm with Shoe Gal, this is sooooooooooooooooooo a romance.
Just do a Souk; appreciate the attention, exercise with/on him & then carry on with your life. And dont pass him on to her, she can conjure them up at will, my needs are greater, my hall is crying out for a coat of paint & ( this should clinch it ) we have a Polish sausage shop in nearby town
I wouldn't worry about your roots, my hol revealed that mine are no longer roots, it's pretty much all over& the sun really faded the colour so quickly it was well on it's way to anaemic ginger. Not suited to my skintone at all. Add to that my releasing my inner hippie woman & the hair straighteners & I was just one curl short of an afro :rotfl:.
By the time the second load of washing was in the maching I was applying all over colour - hence the bathroom cleaning just a couple of hours after completing a 5 hour & 230 mile car journey. It's all about priorities.
What age is PP ? Is he actually old enough to drive, maybe that accounts for general helplessness ... or he just wants someone to look after him0 -

He's 33 as far as I know, probably old enough for driving in most countries :rotfl: Sorry people, there will be no romance, I wouldn't even be replying to his stupid texts anymore if he wasn't my mothers neighbour.
Had a birthday gift in the post (not) car insurance renewal notice for €627.10. Will try and get something cheaper but I only have 3 yrs no-claims bonus as I've only been a car owner for 3 years.
