I'd love a handy man friend, got lots of bits around the house needing fixed/moved etc.
The suitor lives on my street, he's a nutter and the police are at his door almost every night.
Man drought...do I feel a challlenge coming on???0 -

I've always wanted one too but I only met this guy very recently and it wouldn't be right to be abusing his goodwill.
I called round earlier as promised and he was so nice. It's an old house in a huge but very quiet residental area. It feels a bit middle-of-nowhere but there's a huge shopping centre really near so I told him how to get there. I told him there's a Primark (or Penneys as it's called here) which he'd love because he sends clothes to his son in Poland all the time. He was delighted, he's going to go tomorrow and you guys will love this bit :rotfl:.........he said he'll buy me something thereIsn't that just so sweet :A
Not exactly where this is supposed to be going but how could you not love thatBertie shoes are a fairly standard size - I am a 6/39 and my Bertie shoe boots fit perfectly - and I love them
The shoes are gone on Amazonbut I'm actively keeping an eye out for some other bargains. The price of the new stock is scaring me, at those prices I'll never be able to buy anything again. So now is definitely the time to stock up on pretty stuff.

I've changed my car CD to hers. I've always liked her music and her very distinctive look. Would love to be able to leave some flowers for her.
Feeling sorry for the painter too. He worked all day today (Sunday). I don't think he even spoke to anybody all day. He's such a sweetheart, but he doesn't seem to have many friends, he works on his own all the time.
He just sent me a goodnight text, no idea if he got my Primark gift or not, he must have gone out to get food and his coffee and cigarettes.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Oh no, as well as having nobody to talk to he has no tv, internet or radio in the house he's working in:eek: He didn't go to the shopping centre either, just the corner shop. Another text just asked me if there's an internet cafe nearby.
My mother would almost be in tears if she heard this. He's not as impoverished as he sounds, he gets paid a LOT for some of his jobs and has 2 houses in Poland and a child who he has spoilt. He speaks almost perfect English too.
So tomorrow I'm going to bring him a radio/cd player and some CDs to listen to while he works. I'm going to bring him to the shopping centre as well and show him where the internet cafe and post-office are. Especially the post office because he sends a package to his child in Poland every Friday :A
I know it's encouraging him slightly but he's already texting me and I've been to visit already so I doubt I'll make that situation much worse. But his week would be so much better if he knew the local area. It's ridiculous that he's feeling so lost when he's only 10 mins walk from things he needs. Plus I won't have to feel sorry for him if I know he can get out and about. Maybe the city suburbs are sort of intimidating to him- being used to living out the country.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
