Guess what - I like both :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The T-bars best though if I'm pushed
Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!

:rotfl:at how quickly @shoegal responds to questions about shoes. The t-bar ones are really nice in black patent, much nicer than the brown/red in the Amazon pic. I think I might go back for them tomorrow. €46 is an excellent price for a pair of Dune shoes. I could see them being very useful with dresses and black tights in the winter.

In other news I had a text message from the Polish painter telling me the address where he'll be working next week. He has a city job and it's possibly quite near where I live although I'm not familiar with the address :undecided Really wish he wasn't texting me at all but I have to be nice because of him living near my mother and doing such a fabulous job of her painting for such a reasonable price. Awkward.

Oh and my mother told him I'd drive him to B+Q if he needed any supplies :wall: which he possibly will given the nature of his work. He'll be living in the house while he's working there. It's a rented house and the tennants have moved out. Maybe we can throw a party or something:rotfl:

Can't focus on the shoes because I can't get past the size of the heels! Can you run in these? Like, if you needed to escape the painter, or catch up with Johnny Depp?

I like the ones that aren't T bars - but take absolutely no notice of me because (will I get banned from your diary for this?) I am happiest in Crocs.

Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

I can't bear the suspense. Did you say yes or no?

Thanks, your posts gave me such a laugh :D :rotfl:

I've bought the black patent t-bars. Not suited to running but honestly they are ok for walking. The heel is slightly block shaped rather than stiletto plus I find that expensive brands are much better when walking in heels. Primark heels are not suited to walking despite the more MSE prices. Primark flats/flip-flops generally ok.

The brown/tan strappy ones were gone when I went back today so someone must have bought them. They don't seem too popular with you guys and were €81 which is too expensive for me. I'm keeping them on the Amazon watchlist and might purchase if they get reduced further. Or I might find something nicer.

@Wordsmith Of course you won't be banned for wearing crocs. Unlike shoegal and Lula I'm all for comfort. Not sure if you read Lulas' diary but she has been wearing different pairs of heels on her supermarket trips to test them for comfort :D I don't wear heels all that much so I need the ones I buy to be cheap. Mostly I wear converse/uggs/flip-flops with skinny jeans. If I'm spending a lot of shoes I'm most likely to be buying something like Reebok trainers or MBT's that are super comfortable and long lasting.

Now another shoe question @shoegal or @lula or anyone else who can help :) I'm rather tempted to order a pair of Bertie shoes from Amazon but I'm not sure about the size. Usually I buy 7 (41) but in the Dune shoes I got 8 (which they say is 41). Wondering if I would need 8 in the Bertie shoes too or would 7 be ok? 8 is out of stock, 7 is in stock but sending shoes back would be expensive if they don't fit.

I'm thinking she might have declined the offer :p

@Littleboots Where did you meet him? Was he a patient?

My mother was on the phone asking if I was going out, she seems to think I might be going for coffee with the painter.

Me: "No, I'm really busy, I have to wash my hair, paint my toenails, do laundry, cut the grass......I'll call round to him tomorrow"

Her: "But he'll be painting tomorrow"

Me: "He can take a break if I call round"

Her: "But he'll be in his painting clothes, he won't be able to go out"

Me: "He doesn't need to dress up for me"

Her "You have to be nice to him, he's a neighbour, he did the painting really cheap and he'll call to fix anything that breaks around the house"

My mother :heart2:'s him. She's right, he's totally lovely and he works really hard. He's also 6 foot something and in fantastic shape (he likes to exercise) but I'm totally not interested.

It might sound like it but my mother isn't trying to match us up. She actually thinks he's way too nice for me :rotfl:That sounds bad but she knows my complicated relationship stories and those of my friends and she thinks he's way too genuine for the lot of us :o

She want's me to call round, bring him out for coffee, drive him to B+Q for supplies if necessary and just generally be nice to him.

She's right of course, he's the perfect person to call on for any sort of DIY emergency (he doesn't just paint) so I have to go check on him.

See the problem with this, I need a bloke to come round and check that I'm ok, not the other way around :rotfl:
