Ok here begins Diary Number 2 :wave:and a link to Diary number 1 https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2365293
About me: I'm 32, single, childfree and living in Ireland. I've been a homeowner for almost 3 years. When I'm not worrying about how I'll pay for everything on my own I tend to be lurking on the Grabbit board or out shopping for said bargains and decluttering previous purchases
I'm also studying for law exams in October (even if I haven't opened a book in a while). I do surveys and mystery shopping neither of which I would have found without MSE.
On my desk right now is "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin. I've almost finished it and I think most people on MSE would love it. The author takes on different challenges every month most of which are quite similar to the challenges people are doing on here. http://www.happiness-project.com/ I think it'll be my inspiration for 2011.

@butafli How are you doing healthwise? Bit better I hope x
Today I learned the difference between a tailor and a dressmaker (had no idea there was a difference:o) The dressmaker said she couldn't fix a broken belt loop on an expensive coat (bought prior to my MSE days) The lining needs to be cut from the inside to fix it apparently and she sent me to a tailor.
Interesting experience because the guy she recommended is deaf. Thankfully she warned me about this so I understood why he didn't communicate in the usual fashion. She said he has a secretary who helps him but she wasn't there when I arrived so I had to point at the belt loops on the coat and point at the calendar to show when I needed it. Strange experience, I was fascinated by how easily we managed to communicate despite him not being able to hear a word I said and me not knowing sign language. (Hope this isn't offensive to anybody with a disability, that's most defininitely not my intention but it was a new situation for me). He does alterations for Brown Thomas (Irish version of Selfridges) so I'm expecting it to be perfect

I haven't got anywhere with Surveyhead, Mags. It kicks me out of every survey - I am beginning to get a complex."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0
