I have £40 in my Amazon account which is more than I have in my bank account:rotfl: £30 of it came from toluna and £10 from the mail panel. There hasn't been anything I've felt the need to buy recently but it's so good to have it --more free stuff at a later date!

    Tell me about it :o

Nice to have the money there though - comes in handy for presents :)

I'm rather worried about this new EU ban on gender discrimination for car insurance which is going to make car insurance really expensive, as if it wasn't expensive already:(

So many things are costing way more now than when I bought the house 3 years ago. It's getting more and more difficult to survive.

Get one of ten Clinique freebies when you pick up a copy of Glamour's April edition (out Thur 3 March, £2, Fearne Cotton on the cover). The Clinique products are travel size (exc. the below lipstick) and are worth £79ish in total, so it's worth stocking up! Glamour_cover.jpg
The ten mini products to choose from are (we've calculated their worth based on the full sized products on the Clinique website):
    • Liquid facial soap 30ml - £1.95
    • Eye make-up remover 30ml - £3.48
    • All about eyes eye cream 5ml - £7.50
    • 7 day scrub rinse-off formula 30ml - £5.10
    • Long last glosswear 2.3ml - £5.37
    • Superbalm moisturising gloss 7ml - £6.07
    • High impact mascara 4g - £7.50
    • Dramatically different moisturiser 30ml - £9
    • High impact lipstick full size - £15
    • Moisture surge thirst relief 30ml - £18
I bought 5 of these :o (liquid facial soap, lipgloss, lipstick and 2 of the moisture surge) Really tempted to get more especially of the £18 moisture surge :o It's like the Soap+Glory tote bag/Boots sale hype all over again on Grabbit.

I'm exhausted, couldn't sleep last night.

    £10 on onepoll :j

Off to search for the decluttering thread. I've put 30 newspapers/magazines in the recycling this week and the pile of them doesn't even look any smaller.:( Magazines look tidy stacked up so you don't realise how many there are. I don't even seem to buy many of them although I do buy newspapers and the magazines always seem to come free with them.

It's an ongoing battle but I am determined to live in a clutter free home :A

I'm feeling so angry with sales people today. I had 2 sales calls on my mobile from people I already give money to. The gas company tried to sell me a boiler service and the bank called me because "they noticed that my house insurance is due for renewal and wanted to give me a quote" It's like they just want to squeeze a little bit more money out of their customers but the way they package these calls they make it out that they are doing something to help me......just NO

Plus I really hate banks these days since they are primarily responsible for causing the economic problems in Ireland so even if their house insurance was cheaper I'm just not giving them the money.

Then Airtricity approached me by the self service tills in Tesco trying to sell me electricity. They guy seemed rather offended when I wouldn't talk to him.

Went to the BB's by Tesco for a muffin and cappuccino to cheer myself up before coming home. Didn't really work though, still feeling a bit down.

My mother has a new car (one of those lovely new Ford Fiestas). Really happy for her and looking forward to seeing it tomorrow:)

My mothers new car is beautiful, the nicest she's ever had. It seems to have cheered her up a little, (she suffers from depression). I tried driving it but was rather bad at it. The engine cut out on me a few times, apparently because I don't press the accelerator enough--my car is much bigger and has a bigger size engine so I'm not used to having to press the accelerator so much. It's just different to what I'm used to driving but it's lovely and so modern.

Unfortunately petrol costs €1.50 a litre here at the moment so that ruins the fun a bit.

She also bought me a rather nice present of 2 plates. Sounds rather boring but they are by the Irish designer Paul Costello with a print of a lady in a cocktail dress on them. Not very practical as the large one is very big and the small one is tiny. They are best suited to a buffet or a cake but are ever so pretty and were reduced so she bought 2 sets, 1 for her and one for me.

Today was a no spend day, a rare occurrence for me but I did use a lot of petrol.

Plates sound lovely - I would just display them! I have a teapot on my windowsill that is purely for display - I don't even like tea! :p
