If you are in a big holiday area its definitely worth your while asking if the local caravan site owners will do you a deal . They generally buy 47 and smaller cylinders in bulk and get the best prices and may be willing to take you on.0

The standard price on the 47KG is £42.85 + 5% VAT delivered UK Wide
That is a delivered price of £44.99:) They do request that you order a minimum of two bottles at once. Friend of mine who runs a burger bar purchas like 10 at a time from them and he is paying about £37.95
There number is 01507 605230
Julian, I know this post was a while ago. Are prices still the same do you know?.0 -
WOLDLINK posted this on twitter this week.
£44.99 includes VAT and delivery nationwide

This is an update on my previous posts about Woldlink, a large farming bulk-buyer in Lincolnshire, which supplies all sorts of stuff nationwide.
Even if you don't buy from Woldlink you should be able to get a better deal from your local supplier if you quote Woldlink's price! Let the forum know if you are successful - there's a lot of fat in the prices folk get charged. I think it's Calor and Flogas which get this fat - not the local distributor. Good luck!

More ideas! Try your local indie!
Birmingham Autogas - 0121 3267171 - £40 inc VAT - and local delivery
Lima Gas - Southampton - 023 8044 6467
HBS Fuels - Andover - 01264 860 263
Lima and HBS don't post prices on-line but they have a reputation for keen pricing - and an excellent reputation for customer service for bulk LPG users. Cardiff Gas also has a good reputation for prices and service - but their website is showing over £56 for a 47kg so I think their customer service may be better than their website updating!
Again - good luck! And I hope others will flag up more independents.0 -
I paid £65 for 47Kg in January. I have a place in Spain and there 15kg for heaters etc. collected from Local garage costsEuros 14.95 or 1Euro extra to deliver. I,ll checkout 47Kg price and post in a day or so. People living in rural areas in this country are at the mercy of the big suppliers as the cost of a small firm to deliver is high, hence the large firms take full advantage. and the can control the cost to the small delivery firms with the wholesale price of the gas they supply to them.0

Oh by the way this year the price of 15 Kg bottle dropped by 3Euros0

here on the Shropshire/Staffs/ Cheshire border the current price is £47 including VAT and delivery, the product is Flogas.....I'm tempted to try Woldlink as suggested but my local supplier needs minimum volumes to get sensible prices and he tells me that there is no current sign that prices will fall again though of course they should. I'm going to stock up for next winter !0

I moved into my LPG heated home in october last year on a residential park site.
A bottle lasts me 3 to 4 weeks depending on how cold it is... it has lasted only 2.5 to 3 weeks in the coldest spell but have had the heating on low all the time over night on a low thermostat setting.
The residential park home site gets a discount of £20 a bottle from Calor Gas...
Normally £58 we pay £38 here in LINCOLN
I would add that I have a brand new very efficient boiler and have been told that the people who have the old back boiler systems in their properties use a lot more gas.. perhaps a bottle a weekAnd I have done reading & geography.. too !

the good news is that if in summer you only use it to heat water a bottle will last you 3-4 months.0
