  • Hey everyone!

I'm new here as well. I just started using Dr. Ian's Fat Smash diet! So far, I'm one week in and 8 pounds down. This diet is separated in different stages. I'm on phase one. During this time, you can only have basically fruits and veggies, but as many as you want. I've come up with all kinds of soups and salads to fight my urges. It seems to be working so far. We'll see how this goes!

betty 28g of cereal either porridge, shreddies or weetabix no sugars of any kind and milk from allowance put into jug as SW tip said:D

A syn here and there for either tom ketcup measured 1tsp or hp sauce (oh how the kids laugh when I do that):rotfl:

The beans and eggs etc are as on page 6 of the SW supercharged starts here booklet, I have added when I have remembered to buy the bacon, a few rashers of lean bacon but mostly it is a combination of beans toms mushrooms onions sometimes eggs and the toast.

The thai curry has carrots, courgettes, onions, peppers, toms in it.

The cod has all the veg above in it again it is very tomato based the SW sauces.

    Yep fat free gammon.

Prawn curry yep veg same as above sometimes with butter nut squash in it or peas, sweetcorn, etc.

Chilli con carne as page 18 of the booklet it has chopped toms, kidney beans, carrots, spices in it.

Don't eat ham, only gammon, pork or chicken or turkey, all made by myself all lean all cut into slices, no fat.

Ok I am going to look at this to see if I can spot anything wrong...

right well it might be that you haven't used enough syns - these menus are mostly syn-free apart from the thai curry if I recall, but you've only had 4 syns per day on average and you need to have about 10.

Your cereal and milk can be HEA and HEB depending on what they are and how much you have - have you been weighing and measuring everything?

Have you measured and weighed all extras/synned ingredients, like coconut?

Have all of your meals has 1/3 plate full of superfree veggies, salad or fruit? Peas and corn are not superfree and niether is potato - its free, but not superfree. superfree includes mushrooms, onion, greens, salad, toms, peppers, etc.

    sorry if this doesn't help....

I have been weighing religiously everything. Not the coconut flakes no I have not not those.

Coconut flakes have been just that flakes going in at the last mo to make it tasty and have not been weighed or synned, if I were to guess it would be no more than 1 tbsp full of coconut flaked at the last mo.

Every meal has some of these in it L baked beans SS, D can have broad beans SS, staples are leeks, swede, carrots, cabbages red and green, peppers, toms, onions, mushrooms, broad beans, runner beans, brocolli, cauli, courgettes, sprouts they are in the fridge and freezer and used in various dishes or on the side.

The soups have borlotti beans, canneloni, soya beans, chickpeas, haricot beans, lentins all varieties all added to them at different varieties.

Passata is used, tins of toms, peppers, spices, lime juice, lemon juice, quorn chicken quorn sausages, quorn mince, butter beans, pots, rice, SW chips, garlic etc, all stir fry like bamboo shoots, mangetout, chillies, chinese lettuce etc, there is a varied amount of veg all day long:D

Melon the green on is my SS fruit, blackberries and blackcurrants, redcurrants are all in the frozen fruits for brekkie, all SS,lemons and lines in the curries are SS,cod is SS for dinner,

For the subway today it says turkey sub with ham 13 1/2 syns on extra easy, I never have the ham or the cheese or any dressing I have it on wheat with all the salad bar the sweetcorn, jalepenos and black olives so that should bring it down to maybe 10 syns that is the syns done for the day tomorrow so it can't be about syns?

Basically if I go out for lunch as will out at docs all my syns get used up where as if I stopped in I would be having masses more foods, like the soups or the breakfast with the eggs etc and have no syns?

Plainly I am eating too much:rotfl::rotfl:

B will be 28g cereal frozen berries and skimmed milk, L subway D leftover chilli that is what I am eating tomorrow and some lean meats or some fruits or some yogs that type of thing:D

    Hi All
Bit disappointed this week to see that I've STS Fred.
Don't know why as I've been pretty good. It should be TOTM (but I've reached the age where even that's a bit hit and miss now!!) so I'll put it down to that!!
Will not give in and hope to make up for it when I weigh next week.
    Good luck to everyone!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
