I have just come back from the diabetic nurse appointment and am very uplifted by it all, I told her about the dyno soup sary she immediately opened her eyes thinking about what it does to the system:rotfl::rotfl:

I told her all about SW and she was very enthusiastic, so I am sticking with it, she does not know why I gained 3lb but then again as she kept saying no one can ever loose constantly or gain constantly or STS and she reckons it is simply because for the past 3 years the body has been used to a diet that it will take longer to shift the last stone or the re -gained stone because when I said on WW I lost on average 4lb a week for 7 months and then the last 7lb took 4 months to go she said because I had loads to loose initially but then the body slows as it gets used to it.

She said SW is super healthy, great for diabetics and keep at it and the carbs in the lunch only count the sauce in the baked beans as the carbs and not all the beans itself which was enlightening for me and to have an idea of how many tbsp of rice, noodles, pasta carbs by measuring, 1 tbsp is 10g, serve up the others and then weigh mine to get a better idea of how much serving I get to ratio it to the insulin.

I told her what you said sary about having a 11,000 cals over to gain the 3lb in your reply and she agrees with you there is not much chance she said, that carbs are not the enemy and it will sort itself out when the insulin and body gets used to the changes.

She is very impressed that SW keeps you from snacking and full for longer that the beans take ages to digest and are brilliant for the full effect and in effect cut the calories down because nothing else is needed.

I am very happy now:D as soon as I sort out the weighing and ratio I reckon it will be a lot better for me all round, she will see me again in 2 weeks to see how I go:D

teecee you do appear to be a bit of a billy no mates dont ya!!!
fortunately for you though the winners are decided by percentage loss, and just think how many stone the english team will have to lose just to make it to 1% !

Can i suggest maybe that next months team challenge could be WeightWatchers vs Slimming world vs Calorie counters et al??????

Oh puds - tell me you love me - my esteem is so low!!:D
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!

Thanks sary, thanks betty will stick with extra easy diabetic nurse is very happy with it all so will stay with it:D

She looked at my food diary and is very impressed with the healthy eating of it all she just seems to think that the body is battling with it a bit at the mo because of the insulin changes, the carbs, that I have been on steroids for a few weeks, a revolutionary arthritic injection for 9 weeks before the side effects made them take me off it again, the body always being restricted, that type of thing and says that no one gains or looses every single week, not possible otherwise we would all be pencil thin:rotfl:

I never had the subway today, took lunch with me it was a WW wrap filled with salad and gammon lovely:D
Breakfast was the usual and dinner is left over chilli con carne, 2 apples for snacks, will be weighing the rice as told by the nurse.

I am really buzzing now, felt deflated with the gain now the nurse is so happy it is brill:D

I wish I had lost Princesses Only 1lb but it was not too be. I'm not sure where I am going weight wise yet so I won't join in the fun and games Fred. I will just be a bystander and wave my flags of all nations

Welcome to all the new people
I may not come on much but I am always reading and it is great to see so many wanting to come join us :D

Betty - Have you done your exercise today ?? (just had to check ;))

Mazza - Hope you are ok ? I'm sure you will back on track in no time. Hope work is not being too much of a pain at the moment.

Teecee - glad you are no longer alone :)

somethingsgottogive - Well done you :T From what you have written I think you have done the best thing you could have. You have taken your 1st steps on your journey and I'm looking forward to see how well you do. As you have already seen you are in the best company here and we will all help as much as we can x

Victory - Wow that is one big 24hr Rollercoaster you have been on. I still cannot believe that you have managed to put on 3lb, but I can imagine that feels like the wind has been punched out of you!! I think some of the conversation you are Eric where having made a lot of sense. I count myself lucky as I have a family history of diabetes and now think I have done all I can to reduce my risks. I loved the way you were talking about the cooking curry and things with such passion, I feel it had been a while since you had been able to cook something suitable for all your family.

Well done to all the looser's this week (wish I was one of you) and also the STS's. For all the gainers tomorrow is a new day jump back on the wagon again :T
